How do you run out of gift cards to your own store?

I doubt they actually ran out, just ran out of the quantity that they'd committed to this sale at that price point. In the same way, some of the LD have sold out ridiculously fast, and they've sold out of their main DotD, and two Bonus Deals already today (with the LOTR being moved from a bonus to the main).

Meanwhile, DVD's of In Living Color - Seasons 1-5 & Family Guy Volumes 1-12 just appeared as upcoming.

You don't. They are just capping it so they don't have to hand out unlimited $10 promo codes. Just like some of the 100% claimed deals can still be bought from Amazon at full price.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

So far this is seeming like a bust at least for the Blu-ray/DVD deals. Hopefully we get some better stuff later in the day.

If you filter the current and upcoming deals ribbon to only show Blu/DVD they're viewable.

We've been getting 2 hours notice on most things, including all the movies so far, but sometimes it's a lot less with certain items, like video games.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

So far I'm not seeing much to get worked up over.

They knocked off a whopping ~$10 on a 3TB drive. I've purchased a USB 3 cable for $1.50 to use on a external drive at work (others keep losing the ones that the boss purchased - this one will stay with me).

So far the "best" deals seem to have been that $15 gift card offer and the 15% off Amazon Warehouse purchases.

As with BF, the "deals" that are selling out/waitlisting quickly have me scratching my head wondering just what others see that I don't.

Saw it too. Would've pulled the trigger if it was 65' or higher.

Sorry. They've already burned through their first DotD and several Bonuses today, but that was the fastest sell-out so far.

Yeah, though the LOTR is a good one for the small percentage (like me) who didn't own it yet. But my prediction, which was reinforced after hearing about the UK site's sale, is that they've been waiting, and a lot more will be added on as the day progresses. We'll see.

And yet another Bonus just started, Crucial MX100 512 GB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm Internal Solid State Drive CT512MX100SSD1
$79.99 or $159.99 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

No it's not. But when you scroll to look right at the next deals, that's starting to go slow.

Wow. This is pretty damn unimpressive. Not one thing that I want.

Boardwalk Empire Complete Series for $128.59. Fuck you very much Amazon. I think this is a sign of things to come today. I feel better about not hovering around my laptop all day.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

Lots of unannounced deals just showed up. Nothing that looks impressive, though some are already sold out. Zero notice on most of these, for people trying to plan ahead.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

When you have a bust for your first go round then hardly anyone is going to pay attention in subsequent Prime Days. Way to go Amazon!

Thought it was a decent price, but doesn't matter. Already sold out.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

Amazon is actually selling their BE for $147, still in stock I think. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls?ie=UTF8&me=

They originally linked to a mp seller, who had it around $20 less.

Not when Best Buy has their 50% sale. But yeah, sold out. So the price was right for a lot of people.

Re: July 15 Amazon Prime Day

I find it somewhat humorous that the Simpsons "set" was going for $190 until June 2nd when it "shot" up to $199 and has stayed there (source camelcamelcamel). It "sold out" today...

I purchased those two seasons of Vikings for a lower overall price (~$25) months ago *not* on BF or during any "seasonal" sale period... from Amazon...

Drop of less than $20 from what they had it.

It vanished completely from their lightning deal page when it went live (still can't find it), but I had the item listing on a second tab. Noticed the meager price drop - and the switch to a secondary vendor.

Didn't impress me, so I didn't bite. Didn't look like anyone else did either at first, it stuck at 0% claimed for a couple minutes (refreshed twice). Then it hit 100% in a heartbeat.

Maybe there really were a lot of people who were itching to get into the series but were stubbornly holding out for the price to drop 14%, but personally I can't comprehend it.
