Criterion Sale at Best Buy
Best Buy's got a sale on Criterions right now. Seems like most of them are 50% off, including Eclipse titles and DVDs as well. If you need a title and can't hold off until the November B&N sale, this is probably the time.

I'd be surprised if many of those titles were in any actual Best Buy stores.

They're sure to put Tootsie on the shelves for the Best Buy plebeians.

I haven't seen a Criterion in Best Buy in quite some time.
Of course, I hear that's because of the failed dual BD/DVD combo attempt.

I see a few random Criterions like Rosemary's Baby and Repo Men.

Best Buy used to have a dedicated Criterion section among the media like Fry's does, but that (surprise surprise) has gone away.

Most of those dedicated sections when away when BB decided to stupidly put the DVD's and blu's together. And Fry's seems to have shuttered the dedicated sections, at least that's what I noticed when I dropped by earlier this week.

I don't think we shop at the same Best Buy. Just in case we do, don't touch the Lindsey Stirling CD's, I usually piss all over them when I'm there.

Re: Criterion Sale at Best Buy
Criterion sale is on again this week. Prices are good, not great (Barnes and Noble still cheaper with coupons). Discount ranges from 52% off recent box sets ($59.99 for $124.99 list) to 45% off ($21.99 for older single disc $39.99 titles). Perhaps a good time to use your gift cards or reward zone certificates.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is a good deal at $26.99.

In for the Jacques Tati Collection at $59.99 minus a $40 RZ cert that is about to expire.
Cert was from a single large purchase (4K TV) and I was having difficulty finding anything to use it on, I really wish they would just issue them in $5 increments. I ordered a $39.99 item last month and it would not let me apply the $40.
I meant to get to BN on Black Friday weekend and pick this up with the 30% off, but never got around to it.

Damn, I really want Tootsie, but it's barely on sale and it's the colorized version to boot!

Re: Criterion Sale at Best Buy
I do have my RZ account set for $5 increments, but when I bought my TV they issued a $60 cert. I used it for several items in one order a few months back and then returned 2/3 of the order. So, they gave the cert back as $40.
If the cert was not expiring in less than 2 weeks, I probably would have held out for something else. I'm ok with the Tati set at that price.
