Any word of exclusives for The Martian? Seems like an obvious choice for retailer exclusives.

Wish the Spectre offer included a $10 gift card.

The Martian (DVD) + $10 Target Gift Card $19.99

Pretty good deal for a pre-order. Taking into account the $10 GC, and using my Target CC, I picked up "The Martian" for $11.84 (plus sales tax) shipped.

Walmart has the 3D for $24.97, but with Target giving the gift card, I'll go with Target's deal for the CG and 5% more off with the red card.

This was probably mentioned, but Target has been giving away free drinks to Red Card customers in their Cafes since the 10th. Ends today. I just found out last night.

I was hoping for a steelbook. Guess not. Weird.

Got this deal from blu-ray.com .

The 3D version of The Walk came out today and they have it priced at $19.99. There is a cartwheel coupon for 15% off which makes it $16.99 plus tax. Then if you have a redcard, you get an additional 5% off for a final total of $16.14 plus tax.

Not a bad deal for a brand new 3D release.

Re: Target deals

The cartwheel didn't work on the 3D version for me, just the regular. Did you actually purchase it with cartwheel or planned on doing it?

Based on the fact that its a Ridley Scott film and the extras are not particularly dense (and no commentary), there's some suspicion that there might be an extended edition down the road.

Purchased it with the cartwheel. Actually, I forgot to use my cartwheel, then returned the copy and then re-bought it with my cartwheel. It has been working all day for everyone over at that other forum.

Wonder if they changed something?

Re: Target deals

Maybe I'll try tomorrow. I didn't actually purchase it, I just know scanning the 3D version didn't bring up any offers but the 2D version brought up the 15% off.

By the way, can you tell me if the digital copy is Ultraviolet or iTunes?

You should be able to use the cartwheel 2D coupon for the 3D version. It worked for me when I bought it today. Perhaps print out a hard copy of the coupon and present it to the clerk--that might be the way to go if the app isn't working correctly.

The digital copy is Ultraviolet.

Will have to look into that- usually Target doesn't even carry the 3D editions, and when they do they don't price them very low. Captain America Winter Solider was the last 3D movie I got from them I think.

Well, my Target and every other Target seems to carry this 3D movie judging by all the posts on blu-ray.com. My Target also carried the recent Minions 3D and I have seen others there is well. It is mainly just big name new releases for the 3D they carry.

And the price is real. I bought a copy. The cartwheel coupon works on any version of The Walk be it 3D, BD, or DVD.

Found it at Target and it scanned at $24.99, but decided to get it anyway with the 15% cartwheel coupon. But at the register it deducted another $5, so it was $16.99 + tax.

That's weird. I've never heard of that happening before...

I was thinking of just renting 'The Walk'. But after reading a few of the glowing reviews, seems like a good 3D purchase for the price. Thanks.

Went to 2 Targets today looking for that, each just had about 2 copies each of the crappy 2D version and a few of the even-crappier standard DVD. Wasn't up to driving to every store in town looking for it so will just wait til it goes on sale later.

Same happened to me. 2 copies of the crappy 2D version and like a dozen copies of the DVD. I so wanted this to be the first 3D bluray I will be watching just to see if I get that overwhelming fear of heights and nausea at home that IMAX movie-goers experienced in the theater.

Would have tried hunting it down at a different Target but it's going to be pouring rain where I am so no thanks.

My Target had 5 copies of the 3D version of the Walk. Now they have 4 ;)

Re: Target deals

For the pre-order of The Martian 3D that includes a $10 gift card, the BD has been shipped, but not the GC. They also took off $11.40 for promotion discount and $4.00 red card use. Brought the total with tax to $17.96. Not Bad

E Unit 01-09-16 11:25 AM

Re: Target deals

Got the same thing myself. The GC usually comes a bit later.

madmod20061 01-09-16 12:35 PM

Re: Target deals

I got a shipping notice for both the Martian and the GC (2 separate shipments).

I went to Target today and they had plenty of The Walk 3D so grabbed a copy. Nice price for a new 3D release after cartwheel.

Re: Target deals

Gonna try ONE more Target today, not expecting to find it but only makes sense to check there since I'm in the area.
