Is this a bargain? I'm not trying to be a troll, but I thought these seasons have been around 10-12 bucks before.
Anyway the price ends in .96 so it's a Walmart PM, so ship-to-store for those without Prime.

Also these are the network rather than the syndicated cut version that were released previously on DVD which of course rightly angers people who bought the previous DVDs.

Four reasons for re-purchasing:
(1) Blu-ray;
(2) Remastered;
(3) Uncut;
(4) Correct aspect ratio.
Actually a little cheaper at Wal-Mart since Amazon starting charging TN tax on Jan. 1. Also funny to see Wal-Mart's advisory that the item is for 'mature audiences only' and not to be sold to anyone under 17. Evidently they must have cut a lot more out of the original release than ever aired on tv.

Now down to $18.96 at Amazon. Maybe the price will get down to the year it takes place about 1870 ? Amazon has a price guarantee on pre orders. No need to cancel and reorder.

Walmart automatically issues that message for anything that is unrated.Originally Posted by creekdipper

Pre-ordered but would prefer a complete series. We have a month to decide, though.

Previous DVD was the edited version that was used for syndication . This edition puts back what was cut. It was cut from about 45 minutes to 42 minutes per episode.Originally Posted by DVD Polizei

I would be extremely interested in this if I didn't already own it on DVD. It certainly sounds like a significant upgrade, but I have a hard time justifying the $18-20 it would take to make it happen. I might be tempted to track down a used copy down the road just to check out the differences.

Well, I ordered it. I'll post my opinion if I remember.
