I'm not sure how many times I can keep passing on this set before I finally give in. This set seems to go on sale every week somewhere for this price point.

Damn. So glad I passed on all of the Bond blus at Best Buy for $3.99. At first I was just going to get the pre-Dalton Bonds, with only four I needed to pick up later, then figured I might as well get the Dalton/Brosnan films because they were so cheap. Then I figured that that was $60, and I might as well just wait and see if the Bond 50 set went on sale for under $100.

Bought the Bond 50: The Complete 22 Film Collection one year ago for the same price,guess I should have waited and got one extra movie for the same price.

Never Say Never Again (an adaptation of Thunderball) is not included, as it was produced by an independent company instead of Eon Productions. It was released in October 1983, four months after Octopussy was in theaters. I won't delve into the sordid history of Thunderball and its various adaptations here, but the history of Never Say Never Again is a quick and interesting read if you fancy doing a search online for it. Also left out is Casino Royale (1967), as it was a non-Eon film, as well.

In hindsight, I guess I could have waited a year to pick this up. At least in this case, I have watched the entire set and it's not sitting on the shelf unwatched.
An excellent set and worth the price. Some day, I'll get around to watching all the extra material.

BTW, is there a version of Quantum of Solace or Skyfall that is a 2-Disc SE with extras that are not on this set. I know that Casino Royale (Craig) has an SE with extras that are not on this set.
