Peanuts Holiday Collection is up at $18.99 (same price as the blu ray only edition that was offered a couple weeks ago, grrrrrr). So I picked it up and am sending the other one back.

I just picked up the Doctor Who Christmas special BD. Never seen a minute of Who, but I'm a sucker for anything Christmas.

Wow, a whopping dollar off. I'm kind of glad since I missed it, and thought it would have been a better deal.

Crap I forgot about it. How much was it? I bought S7 volumes 1 and 2, so needed the Christmas special. I know B&N will have it for 10 bucks eventually (during their next 50% off British sale) but would have bought it now if 10 bucks or less...

It was $9 off. It's the set that include the DVD copies as well.

It was $9+, so not much of a deal really. But I hadn't bought a BD in hours and was starting to twitch.

I haven't seen anything to spend any money on just yet. It seems like I'd already ordered some stuff this time last year. I can't complain though because it has allowed me to finish my Christmas shopping already.

I haven't seen even one deal yet that I'm the least bit interested in. And with their new $35 minimum for free shipping, unless they price match Best Buy on multiple BDs/DVDs on BF, I won't be ordering from Amazon. The wife & I have already used our trial Prime memberships. I hate the thought of having to brave the insanity in the B&M stores...

Thanksgiving week is usually when they have the big deals...if things are lackluster on Monday, you'll see a lot more complaining.

I just hope we get an actual calendar and not this drip-feed of information we've seen so far on the 'countdown page'. Oh, and having an idea of the prices in advance would be good too, I sure as hell ain't waking up in the middle of the night for a deal to find out it's only an extra $1 off...

Bluray.com has the BF deals week countdown meter running. The schedule is somewhere.

That - if nothing else - makes Prime worth it, imo

Don't forget that, if you haven't already abused the thing to death (or it's been awhile since the last trial), you can sign up for a free month of Prime that will take you through BF and the post-BF sales. Really essential if you're wanting to get lightning deals with free shipping without having to add bigger stuff...especially since they've gone to a $35 limit to qualify for free ship. With Prime, it can be a $1.96 movie price-matching Wal-Mart and you'll still get free 2-day shipping.

Just read a day or so ago that the USPS is experimenting with delivering Amazon orders on Sunday. The article said the plans was to try it in NYC and LA first and then expand to other markets. Kind of crazy when you consider that they were talking about ending Saturday delivery just a few months ago.

Luckily, Amazon decided to give a decent deal. $10.39 is not bad, and certainly cheaper than Before Midnight, so I bit. I had thought about getting the Cinema Pride box, but it sold out immediately. How many other gay guys are following the lightning deals?

I was tempted by the Ford at Fox thing, but I already have the major films in it.

I grabbed Cloud Atlas as well. $10.39 is an odd price.

Isn't Cloud Atlas going to be $3.96 on Black Friday at Walmart?

Doubt Amazon matches that. Maybe they'd drop to $7.99?

It might also be online at Walmart.com since they have a section for the $3.96 titles.

Ah, that is good to know. You've sold me; I cancelled my Amazon order. Really not looking to pay over $7 or $8 for a movie this BF anyway. Thanks!

While I love this movie and I'm tempted by a close to $10 price... I also know this is a Warner title. Warner distributed titles plunge to lower and lower prices fast.

This is true and it is also highly likely to be part of a 4-pack of movies.

Now if they include an instruction manual to watch the film I'd be set

Hover over the $3.96 section of the ad
Click on "View Details" from the popup
Click on "Learn More"
That will get you to the $3.96 section with 89 titles and Cloud Atlas should be on the list

Thanks!

Hmm that's odd... Ted Blu Ray is on the $3.96 link but is in the $6.96 section in the ad. I wonder which one is the accurate one.
