I was in Target yesterday looking through the newly arranged movie section, checking out the cheap discs in the $5.00, $7.50 and $9.99 sections and found the Scream 5-film set on the shelf with a regular $9.99 shelf tag (not a sale tag).

It rang up at $9.99 at the register, so I think this is now the normal price. The lowest it has been on Amazon is a a little over $14.

The Scream 5-Film Set Blu-ray includes Scream / Scream 2 / Scream 3 / Still Screaming / Scream: The Inside Story.

Thanks, I picked up Scream 4 this morning. The cashier said she had to check that it was a Blu-ray because my total was only $12.00 with the movie and a couple of small household items.

Found one today on a random shelf. It wasn't in the right place, but I did not see a spot for it in the right area. Looks like someone was going to buy it and changed their mind and just set it down. I saw the exclusive scream 4 bd, but nothing really special about it. Just songs from the movie.

Target should drop it to $5 soon, and then they call really make me feel bad because I paid $19.99 for this from Amazon 2 years ago and thought it was a good deal for 3 movies. I should've known better. As time goes on and I see more and more "scream"-ing deals like this, my price threshold drops further and further. I'm getting to the point where I can barely bring myself to pay $5 for any catalog movie or $10 for a recent release on BD now. Of course I make exceptions for certain 3D BDs I shouldn't. However, unlike most stuff I buy, I actually opened and watched the 3 Scream movies in it.

Well I was not able to find one left in the Cincinnati area. Monday night I hit Oakley, Blue Ash and Mason Targets. I was on a mission. Then today I happened to be in Lebanon and did not see one there . I did see the spot with a grey sticker (whatever that means) at each location. Am sure Amazon will have a deal on it, I will wait. Or maybe next time BB does a save and trade.

It's strange to me that this set has a designated spot in the new layout but each store received such limited quantities and they're not restocking it in a timely manner. I initially thought it might only be around for Halloween and then get switched out for something else. But that's not the case. It's like they didn't expect the set to sell well.

I was at a Target this morning trading in an iPad and drove past it again this evening and never thought to look for this. Totally slipped my mind that this deal was still operative.

Rats. I'm at the Target now and they have a copy, but I would've rather paid $1.50 less for something that's just heading for the library.

I was telling my g/f about it and she said, "$10, that's a good deal! You should buy it," and I was just whining about the extra $1.50 I'd be spending when I'd been RIGHT THERE and didn't know about the sale. Bother. #firstworldproblems
