Cool. Thanks for the post. I will keep checking back here because I will likely forget to check SF's website everyday. I already have the prior Halloween II BD and don't see any reason to upgrade it but i might bite for Season Of The Witch.

They would get more money from me if they put them all on sale at the same time. With one a day I'm sure to miss a few I want.

Is $15.99 a good price for Halloween 2, and is Shout good with getting things shipped out and delivered?

Yeah. I would think it would be more cost effective for them to put everything on sale at once. Since the shipping is free, they could potentially be shipping out a dozen packages to the same address over the course of three weeks. Would seem to make more sense for them to put everything up at once and then offer either free shipping for x number of titles or some kind of other incentive for ordering multiple items on the same order.

Yeah I agree it would seem to make more sense to put them all up for sale at once. Plus it's kind of a pain in the ass to remember to check every day until the 23rd. I set a reminder in my phone to check the site each day for back up.

I would say the release is worth getting. Good looking disc and has a fair amount of extras as well as the TV version of the film (only on DVD but better than nothing). I haven't ordered directly from Shout so can't speak much to how they're like in regards to that.

Re: Scream Factory October Daily Sale

As long as I remember to keep checking these daily deals, I can see myself buying a number of titles. I would consider getting Halloween II, but I already have the previous Blu-ray release. Anticipating buying more horror titles this month, I will resist the double dip. I really want The Burning!

SOB...I just bought this copy a week ago for $8.99:

Halloween II (30th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray] (1981)

Can someone tell me what I'm missing out on between the two. Thought this was the best release since it's the 30th anniversary edition.

Though it is not as good as Scream Factory's version, many consider that version essential because it contains the "Terror In The Aisles" documentary which is missing from SF's version.

So basically this is a must double dip type of film to get all essential features?

The scream factory release is a must own. It has a ton of extras.

The universal one has "Terror in the Aisles" but it really has no connection to Halloween 2, other than Myers clips and being hosted by Donald Pleasence. So in the end, it's kind of nice to have both.

Re: Scream Factory October Daily Sale

Thankfully I saw this just in time to get in on Halloween II! Refreshed the page a little while later to see today's deal pop up...not surprisingly Halloween III! In for that one too!

Hopefully The Fog and Prince of Darkness will pop up at some point this month. While these are still priced a bit higher than I like to pay for movies these days, I can't complain for such well cared for releases. Good stuff!

Damn. HIII is gonna make me think. I am not a big fan of the film but I seem to rent the sucker and watch it ever couple of years even though I say I don't like it every time I watch it. How does that make any sense?

Today's deal is up, Halloween III: Season of the Witch for $15.99. Really underrated film in my opinion and worth a blind buy. Just don't think of it as a Halloween film and it's a great little 80s horror film.

Agreed. A good stand-alone Halloween themed film. It just shouldn't be considered part of the franchise. I have the Universal Halloween 2 release, and can't justify paying $16 to get the SF. Perhaps for 10 bucks down the road... Halloween 3, however, I think I must get.

^ Yeah, I have a hard time paying more than $10 for any BD. I'm very tempted by both, but will live with my DVDs for now.
