Camille 2000 Extended 5.99 at Frys

http://www.frys.com/product/6713845

I just picked up a copy of camille 2000 Extended for 5.99 at Frys. There is a 1.99 ship fee online but it is available at some stores.
This is a cult Radley Metzger movie. It cost quite a bit on release and is a very nice presentation from Cult Epics. This is the one with extra unrated footage.

Not much going on at Fry's for this weekend, it seems.

Re: Camille 2000 Extended 5.99 at Frys

Horrible service service at the Anaheim, SoCal store. Ordered 2 Bluray discs – ‘Cleopatra 2 Disc’ and ‘Camille 2000 – Extended Edition’ for pickup at the Anaheim (SoCal) store evening of 8/30/2013. Received confirmation for store pickup the same evening. Went to store morning of 8/31/2013. Cash Register Rep could not find items in pickup area. Spent about 10 mins looking for them everywhere but could not find them. They call Store Manager with printouts of my ordered items. He says they will get them for me, comes back with ‘Camille 2000’ and for ‘Cleopatra’, says the ‘disc in the box is broken’ and so they don’t have one anymore. He said he will take my address down and mail it to me when they get it in stock (yeah, right). He also says that because of this error, he will reprice ‘Camille 2000’ for $4.99 instead of $6.99 which was my purchase price. As I am at the register, I notice the disc they brought for me was the wrong version – I had ordered the Extended Edition SKU 6713845 but they had brought me the standard edition of ‘Camille 2000’ SKU 6612664. The two different SKUs were not even verified when they picked up the item despite having the printouts from the order. So I complain and so off goes the manager again – 15 mins pass, he comes back and says they don’t have it and that they were sorry. Once again, I get the ‘will mail them to you when we get it in store’. 40 minutes have been wasted at the register with this circus act. So I ask him ‘so you send me store pick up confirmation and haven’t picked the items for service at the register, you send me confirmation on an item you don’t even have in stock, you pick up the wrong item for the other one and then tell me you don’t have the correct one in stock. And for this I drive 40 miles each way – what kind of operations do you run ?’ And all I get is ‘we are sorry for the error. We will mail them to you when we get them’. Their prices might be cheap but the reason they are is that there is absolutely no professionalism involved in the operations. Came back disappointed - I understand mistakes can happen but no one pays any attention at Frys

Their service certainly isn't the greatest, but at least around here they're the best place to buy discs- they stock more titles than anyone else including the older and obscure stuff, and everything's below list price. The two stores near me even care enough to not stick price tags on discs that have unsealed slipcovers, instead putting them on the sealed case inside! Whoever is in charge of stocking the media section truly cares about it, whether they intend to or not. If you don't see what you're looking for on the shelves though, best to look elsewhere than get any kind of 'service'.

Their ad for today says they have some recent Blu-Rays for $7.99, but only shows a few of them (including Lawrence of Arabia and Moneyball) and I don't care enough to go out there today- was hoping they'd have some 3D stuff on sale that I don't have yet.

Picked it up at this price there over a year ago. I wish they would price more Cult Epics titles this way.

You and I shop at the same two Fry's stores since that's all we have here but you can't deny there's been a serious dip in the amount of titles in the store. Sure, they stock more than Best Buy, but the Roseville location has cut their BD selection down by 1/4 getting rid of a lot of the more obscure titles to further branch out their knick-knack crap on the shelves instead.

I also wouldn't personally give props to the guy running the media section, since I've talked to that bozo for assistance on numerous occasions and he was of no help whatsoever. Fry's has to have some of the worst customer experience of any retail store, and their pricemathching method is a pain in the ass, but if you're still deadset on buying certain things in a B&M store then they're the only way to go.
