Stopped by the Lakewood, CA Walmart and saw the shelf price of $14.96.

I scanned it and this is the price I ended up paying.

Not sure if this is YMMV, but may be something to look for if interested in this release.

I saw a tag at my Wal-Mart for this amount on Tuesday, but no blu-rays were at the store. Probably either someone bought them all up to sell or they hadn't got the shipment in yet.

I checked 2 Walmarts and I couldn't even find a shelf tag for the blu ray. There was the DVD copy and no Blu Ray. One Walmart had even decimated their Blu Ray stock and replaced one of those 4 sided display racks with almost all DVDs. Makes me wonder if Walmart is moving away from Blu Rays.

Update: Went to my third Walmart and found it. I am surprised that a release like this would be this hard to find. It is one thing if the store shelf is bare, but another thing if there isn't even a shelf slot for it. Thanks to OP for this deal. Great childhood memories!!

Glad that I could help. I didn't realize that it was out and was curious why the shelf price was as posted, along with 20 or so copies of it. I had to scan it to make sure that it belonged to the Blu version.

I went to Walmart & they didn't have any left, thus why I asked. I didn't want to travel 20mins out of the way to the next closest Walmart

thanks for the heads-up! was planning to just bite on the $24.99 price that everyone seemed to have before seeing this post, so thanks for saving me $10!

i did have to go to 2 wal-marts. the first didn't even have a spot for the BD, just the DVD which was going for $16.96. 2nd store looked like they had just restocked as there were about 10 copies available. this was the chino hills, ca location.
