I had one of those available as well. A little bummed that I just ordered the non-steelbook version for the same price at Amazon. I don't think I want the SB enough to cancel/re-order.

went to 3 BBYs today and picked up:
Astro Boy Dvd Mini Set 1 (5 Disc) - B&W - DVD 9.99
Hubble IMAX BD/DVD (NO 3D) - 4.99

Astro Boy and Hubble would not let me check out at any of the 5 I tried, but I found them at the last place I visited.

Sherlock GOS SB - 9.99
Dark Knight Rises SB - 9.99 (1 loc. in Houston had 13 of them. Most in perfect cond)
Supernatural S4 BD BBY exclusive w/ Lent. cover - 14.99 (cellophane was beat up as hell)
watchmen rosach DVD Mask - 9.99

Didn't pick up this one, but it was an OK price.
Watchmen - Tales of the Black Freighter DVD (in limited edition SteelBook case) (2009) - 9.99

I can "reserve" a $89 garbage disposal (clearanced)...but I can't reserve/purchase a clearanced $4.99 Blu-ray for picking up at my local store.

FYI, Gangster Squad is the BB exclusive version. Pay attention to the SKU's, but most of the items listed have multiple SKU's and only a specific SKU is clearanced. Also found True Blood S3 BD, but the BD only version is $19.99, not the combo pack.

I upgraded my Best Buy app, and there is now an option to search the Clearance and Open Box items. That could be handy if you are in a store, and don't remember or know what that particular store has...
However, I can't get my RZ account to load in the new app. I keep getting Connection Error. So you may not want to upgrade your app if you like to access RZ through it...

When you go to your Best Buy, do you find these items just in their regular places or are they in a special box or clearance area?

My local store has a lot of the same stuff others have mentioned. I did check a couple of other stores in the area, albeit a longer drive. One store has the first season of Game of Thrones that was discontinued for 17.99.

Rocky Balboa has been available for $1.99 at every local store I have checked. I have also seen True Blood: Season 3 (Blu-Ray) for $19.99 at a couple of stores.

At least with the two stores I went to locally, they were all just in section. No special section at all.

The only reason why I didn't post a list of things and their prices, is because every store will have similar, as well as different things on Clearance.

A store about 30+ minutes away has the Game Of Thrones: Season 1 (Exclusive) Blu-Ray on Clearance, but the 2 stores within a 15 minute drive to me do not.

I can't find anything in that new app. It lists 512 deals near my ZIP code (which it recognizes wrongly of course) and then click on the deals, you are served a 'Page not found'. Happens for any store I select. Pathetic !!

Dang, just bought The Dark Knight Rises Steelbook for $25 with the $5 coupon a couple weeks ago. Might go tomorrow to return it and purchase it at the $10. Will it ring up the clearence price in-store when purchased or do you have to reserve it online?

As long as your store shows it as being Clearance in the link I posted, it will ring up at Clearance Price. No In-Store Pickup/Reserve necessary.

After you mentioned that, I checked my local stores through the website. The Movies/TV Section of the Clearance is gone from all my local stores. Very strange!

snooze you lose I suppose. I checked a store near my office yesterday and they had the Hobbit and some other movies on clearance. Just checked again right now and not a single movie is listed on clearance (the section doesn't even appear in the category list now).

Guess the NYC DVDTalkers cleaned it out (including the Dude Abides tee and SW tee shirts they had listed).

Actually, I just checked Lansing, MI locations just to see and none of those stores are showing the movie clearance category either. Are people still seeing the Movie category on the Clearance page today?

I didn't want to take the chance so I used Store Pickup for the Dark Knight Rises Steelbook.

I've been waiting to get this at a decent price -- I got the other Batman Steelbooks for ten bucks each too -- so thanks for the heads-up asianxcore. :up:

I appreciate the OP for pointing this out. Some of my stores have some decent pickups.

One location, which is about 20 miles away, had the Transformers Matrix of Leadership boxset discounted to $29.99. I couldn't get there until late last night, but I drove out after work and when I couldn't find it on the shelf the employee told me some guy came and bought all of them bragging about flipping them on eBay. :rolleyes:

Obnoxious resellers ruin a lot of these good deals. Oh well. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I think they just took that section offline for some reason. I stopped into a BB this morning which had a Hobbit exclusive on the web yesterday, and though it was marked 29.99, it still rung up at 9.99

Last night I put 2 blu's in my cart from the clearance link for store pickup, at checkout they disappeared from the cart saying they sold out. This was around 12:30am CT. This moring I looked up their Hobbit exclusive which was $9.99 online yesterday and today it lists as $35.00. So, if there is a price issue at a store it seems you'd have no way to prove the $9.99 price anymore. Glad it worked out for you on the Hobbit, but I have some doubts the prices are still in effect today at every location. I'll check this forum later for more proof and go to a store later.

I just got back from a local BB and picked up the Dark Knight Rises steelbook. It rang up $9.99 so I think the prices are still there, it just their clearance list went funky or something.

One of my Best Buys had a shit ton of these steelbooks. They must have over-ordered. I was waiting on the rumored longer cut but this made me pull the trigger.

I was going to buy that Terminator Salvation head t go with my Batman, Spider-Man & Iron Man heads but it just looked kinda goofy and since I already have the movie with the Anthology, I passed on it. Supposedly one of my BBs had a copy of the A Christmas Story boxset but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I saw the list was funky last night too. But, the movies are still listed you just have to go through all of them to see it. I saw the Dark Knight one with the funny Joker heads still online.

Picked up Rocky Balboa BR for 1.99 for my brother. It was the last copy on the shelves (wouldn't let me reserve it). Thanks OP for sharing! I will be using this frequently!

I do have a warning-I was looking at one of the Wii games on clearance-it looks good but when you compare what other stores are selling it for, it's still $10 more. So, make sure you check before going-ooh sale!

Some stores were asked yesterday to box up the music & movies clearance to send it back on the truck.. I found that out from one I went to today which had some items I wanted listed yesterday..

^ That sucks! I picked up the IMAX Hubble today during lunch. They had a ton of TDKR steelbooks, but I had already bought it at full price when it came out. ARGH! Would have loved to get a Hobbit BD for 9.99 but none of my stores showed that one...
