I grabbed 14 titles I wanted to upgrade. We shall see if this gets shipped. Even if it was a price mistake, these are going for $7 at Best Buy, and I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon was just clearing out inventory of the old Paramount skews.

Was worth a shot, but they didn't honor them so I just went off on how bad their service was and how Best Buy and other places honor their prices. Got Braveheart and Zodiac, though I already got Braveheart at Best Buy so got to go make a return.

Something similar happened a few years back at Amazon with graphic novels. Some people got full orders, some partial, some nothing but almost everyone got a gift card credit (I think for $25). Obviously the policy may have since changed, but that was how they handled it at the time.

I'm always curious what Amazon does in these cases. For me I'm 0 shipped for at least 6 price mistake orders over the years. The biggest fiasco was when they had a ton of music CDs for $1-$3 each which should've been 3-4x that price. I thought it was a legitimate sale and spent a lot of time ordering dozens of CDs. They cancelled about half of them right away and then dragged their feet for a couple weeks on the other half with 2 reps promising they were just OOS and would ship soon. Then out of the blue they cancelled them all. They were all on 1 order but they spammed me with separate emails for each item cancelled (fortunately the only time that has ever happened). It took a lot of complaining to get some credit to make up for this... and I felt totally justified doing it.

So if Amazon honors any of these, I'd be deeply shocked.

You probably would have been better off playing the nice guy and trying to get some credit. CS reps are more easily able to give out credit than change prices to ones that were in error.

Plus you don't need a note on your account that you're one of those guys that goes off on rants because he didn't get in on a price mistake. The next time you need to try and win favor from Amazon, things like that never help.

Sorry I missed out on this deal--hope some people get it.

At a quick glance, they appear to be Paramount titles--perhaps the Warner reissues? If they're new releases, it seems like more likely candidates for a pricing error than something they've been selling for years. Just speculation, though.

Just remember that if Amazon has shipped by UPS, they can recall a package at any time prior to delivery. Some businesses have done that before on price mistakes that shipped out very quickly, though I can't recall if Amazon has done it.

Their shipping methods for Prime service tend to allow the first wave of orders to go through, while often canceling the orders that don't ship out immediately.

Fan-fucking-tastic. Here I was thinking I was going to get judged when 16 random Blu-rays arrived and I could've bought all 60+ and been fine. :lol:

Ordered a bunch of stuff last night. One title I missed out on was Major League. There was only a five minute window to order that one after it was first mentioned on the other forum. It had jumped to $10 by the time I clicked on it.

There were a couple other cheap titles that didn't show up on the price tracker (Rango, The Ring). People only mentioned those after the deal was dead. There was barely any time to browse around and I got my order in just under the wire.
