Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Just got a Camel3 notice that the Parks & Recreation complete series just hit $26.99. Funny, I'm binging that on the background via Netflix these days plus it's on Hulu, plus that price is for the DVD and my hunch is the streaming looks better. Funny, I don't even remember setting up that alerror, seems my threshold was $35 so $27 is a steal for this 21-disc set. Great price, but don't know if I'll pick it up.

I've been waiting for S7 set to drop in price but at $26 for the complete series why not at this point.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Just to clarify, the $26 price point is for the DVD? Or were these released on blu? I never got into it, but wanted to at some point. I wouldn't mind spending $26 foe the entire series.

one of the cheesiest and lousiest offerings from the Cannon group, now on pre-order for $12.99 - 'King Solomon's Mines'. Posting this as this is a low price by Olive's pricing standards

Tempted by this, but sitcoms are such a finiky thing. If I liked Community, Black Books and IT Crowd, but didn't like Friends and Seinfeld would I like P&R?

A better question is did you like The Office or not. Very similar format.

Probably. Community and IT Crowd are two of my favorite shows. Never saw Black Books. Hated Friends, like Seinfeld. Parks & Rec is my favorite of this post (slightly). Starts off a bit slow, but gets up to speed pretty quickly.

I think so, I loved P&R, Community and IT Crowd. I haven't seen Black Books and I never cared much for Friends and casually enjoyed Seinfeld. Just keep in mind that it's generally agreed that it doesn't really get really good until the second season.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Another drop:

SUDDEN FEAR (Cohen) - $13.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0ZWPY5/

THE STEWARDESSES 3D - $15.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXOEHPG/

Incidentally, a lot of those Kino discs were $11.98 at Kino's own Black Friday sale just this past November (a small batch of more recent titles was $11.99 at Kino earlier this week), and other folks here have said some of them were around $10 at previous Amazon sales. Tempting at ~$14, but it could be worth holding out.

Yeah. Big fan of The Office here. Tried watching Parks and Rec and thought it was absolutely terrible.

As mentioned before, the show didn't really find it's footing until season 2, and even then still didn't completely click until Adam Scott and Rob Lowe joined the cast towards the end of season 2.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I gave up on Park & Rec in season 1, but I came back to it later (season 3, I think) and loved it. And I think P&R stayed pretty strong through the end, whereas The Office was really declining toward the end.

You need to watch Black Books. It's very good.

I, too, like Community and IT Crowd, dislike Friends and like Seinfeld. I also like Parks & Rec. as well as The Office (US version) but, as others have said, feel P&R got stronger as it went along while The Office really fell off the last few seasons.

This is very accurate. While I wouldn't blame anyone who gave up on Parks & Rec in the very early stages, it really got stronger and ended up being the better overall series compared to The Office, in my opinion.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

^I'd say yes - if you like Hammer Horror. It's bee a $1 lower but normally sells in the ~$42 range. It's a well done set and looks better than the DVD version (I own both). 4 of the films are in incorrect aspect ratios (at 2:1 when they should be either 1.75:1 or 1.85:1), but I don't find it that disagreeable and it's nothing excessive. I certainly wouldn't let it stop me from getting the set.
