Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
It took Amazon a week to decide to match BB's price on Madding Crowd. Yes, really. This is why I no longer wait for Amazon to match. I don't think they care about media anymore.

Prices like this make me laugh. These sets sold for $150 a season on DVD when first released. People made elaborate arguments that they were a "good entertainment value" comparing them to ball game and concert prices.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
In for Madding Crowd. I was tempted by Gotham yesterday, but I gave up on the season after a few episodes so I'm glad the deal is gone so I don't have to be tempted anymore.
Sure, the prices seem absurd now, but that was, what, 15 years ago, and there had never been a complete TV season released on DVD before. X-Files had been released two episodes per VHS cassette, and Star Trek TOS was on DVD for two episodes per disc for $20. It was a completely different world back then.

Amazon fails to match Best Buy's price ($24.99) on Downton Abbey S6. OK then, I'll stop by BB later today. They're making it easy for me to dump Prime next month.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Don't think your cancelling will make Amazon sweat. A recent article indicated one in every 5 adults in the U.S. has prime membership. I think the dvd buyers helped them grow, but now we're really small players in their minds now. We would have noticed by their BF deals in the last couple of years, where they've just become followers instead of leaders in the software price wars.

Great deal on the ESPN 30 for 30 Collector's Set - $14.99 at the moment. It dropped to $19.95 a few days ago, first time it's been below $20. Now there's been another drop. I bought it used on Ebay a year or so ago, otherwise I'd be all over it. Shows temporarily out of stock, but you can still place an order.

Whenever I've accumulated some of the $1 "slow shipping" credits, I typically use them on various episodes of the 30 for 30 films or shorts that I'm interested in.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
I've caught a few episodes of 30 for 30 and always liked them, and I bought the Len Bias one on DVD. The set may not be complete, but I never figured I'd own them all anyway, so I'm in at that price, thanks!

Good father's day gift. Thanks!
Any one know if this includes the DVDs since it says "multi-format?" I am assuming it does not but the multi-format term is throwing me off. My father-in-law has a DVD player but not a BD player and just wanted to check.

Glad a few of you jumped on board. Looks like the price is back to $19.95. Still a good price, but not quite as good.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
The 20 Disc set has 100 documentaries spanning the first five years. Not all are 30 For 30s. There are some 9 for IX ones, at least one SEC film (House of Manning) and plenty of Shorts. It's in a big, flimsy Ticket-shaped cardboard case with discs in sleeves.
I had the 6 disc set and sold it back to Amazon (for $8) when the 20 Disc version went on sale last November.

MI: Rogue Nation is $10 at Amazon. I did not see that posted here. An earlier poster noted Amazon had not matched Target's price. This may be that match.

Dope was easily one of the more entertaining movies I saw in 2015. A completely fresh, coming-of-age comedy that shows a lot of creativity and also happens to be funny. An easy blind buy if you happen to like 90's Hip Hop.

Arrow season 3 is now down to $16.96
Same goes for a few others like:
Supernatural season 10
Person of Interest season 4
The Big Bang Theory season 8
Gotham season 1 (although it was cheaper last week at Target)

Cinema Series Blu-rays are "Deal of the Day" today for $14.99:
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Fifth Element
Leon: The Professional
Also, the big Lawrence of Arabia box set for $29.99 and You Can't Take It With You for $9.99.
I bit on Lawrence of Arabia, as I never bought it on Blu.
I had bought Dracula a few months back at $19.99...should have waited.

I just got "Element" and "Leon" last week at the Sony Station BOGO deal at Best Buy (of course, these have the regular packaging and not the "special packaging" featured on the DOTD discs).
