It does, however, require you to link your Amazon account to your Facebook account, in order to get the credit. After you complete the process and receive the credit on your account, however, you can simply go into your App Settings in Facebook, and delete the Amazon app.

I figured sales tax would put it at $32 at Target with Price match + Coupon. That difference just isn't worth the trip there/effort.

Kinda sucks you can only use this on an item that is $25 not multiple items that total more than $25. Heaven's Gate for $21.99 isn't bad though.

I put 2 sub-$25 items in my cart that totaled $40 and the $5 discount showed up.

For the November deal, I had multiple items that added up over $25.

Wow, thanks to whomever posted this and to whomever brought it back up, because I didn't see it when it was first posted and I snagged the pre-order of Girls-season 1 for $20.99.

I hate Target and BB's price is terrible and now I don't need to go to Target and, on the off chance they match Target, it will end up being $17.99.

But with no taxes and Prime, I'm THRILLED with what I already have.

I get the page that says "You need to complete the Share & Claim action to receive this promotion." When I hit "share and claim" it brings me to a Facebook page for an Amazon "app". Do I have to download this "app" to get the $5 off?

It's not a download. But you're adding an app to your Facebook account. You can always remove it later, but if you're prompted for the app, you won't get the $5 unless you accept it. In our two FB accounts, only one had to agree to enable the app.
