all of them have their respective English soundtrack and subtitles. Just that the disc will default to Spanish language being a Mexican release

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Found some new stuff out today. Picked up the following:

300
Beneath the Harvest Sky
The Final Member
Jimmy Buffett: Welcome to Fin City
Journey to the West
Standard Operating Procedure
A Star is Born
Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends (DVD)

Also saw IT on BD as well but left it there. Also of interest, everything above rang up for $1 and not $1.25.

FWIW -- the ones ringing up for $1 have a UPC sticker ending in 7304 should anyone want to compare with what they find.

I wonder if those ringing up for a buck were old stock that never made it out on the floor.

I just threw away the receipt. I do recall glancing at it though and believe most everything rang up, "July 2022" or something similar. So not exactly old. Just seems like they may have used an older UPC sticker as I mentioned before.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Well, I did come across the new wave. Mostly DVDs again, but a few new BDs sprinkled into the mix. The most interesting DVD set I saw was the second season of From Dusk Till Dawn.

I saw It, Truth or Dare, Hidden Kingdoms (BBC), Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, a few more.

The Curse of La Llorona is nominally related to The Conjuring movies but it's by far the weakest entry in the Conjuring universe. Completely forgettable ghost movie.

...unless you go into it looking at it as a comedy. If you'll just let go of your hope that it might be scary and lean into its unintentional humor, it's pretty fun.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Dollar Tree stores (along with Dollar General stores) are so plentiful that it's easy to stop by several when traveling. I did so last weekend and found 1 store with a huge selection. I attribute it partly to it being in the corner on a shelf. I've never seen them located there before.

I picked up several DVDs which were of interest. Also found and bought the following on BD: Arcitc, The Art of Self-Defense & Teen Spirit.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Supposedly a new wave is hitting this week. I came across stock on BD like Bel Canto, Gloria Bell, The Emoji Movie, several Echo Bridge titles with the Walmart sticker still on them, Downsizing, etc.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Might have discovered this latest wave. Found a wire rack with media near one of the registers.

Picked up the first season of Preacher on BD. Also, a Mill Creek double feature of Reservation Road & Return to Paradise.

I also bought one DVD I hadn't seen before, LBJ.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I recent went to dt after staying away for med reasons and now they finally added a metal rack i seen in youtube videos of other media seekers looking for good stuff like 4 or 5 box below, then a display rack close to front had like stacks of media by chance so guessing they got alot boxes and not many know or dont care for the media like before cause maybe price change or not many wanna search for any gold so to speak since it was most i guess b and less movies mixd bluray or combo bluray and dvd any. i did by chance find 3 i wanted to get even if got go so many i think and really try limit cause price and move anytime later. but was way more media besides any cds by chance but was alot cds in past but think shoppers cared more for cds then movies any at time lol. almost grabbed a cd but wa not much for it or not know singer or group till checkd and by time go back it was got or sold for any reason so no biggy. i went for needs as well and didnt really plan to get media but brain kicked inwhen enter place and checkd lol. nice i checkd to score i think some good decent stuff. was a lot of repeats of some movies all was most dvd and scattered bluray any. almost got alot but knew i had to get needs so was real picky what i got. maybe go back before move idk gotta give them time to get new stock and by chance get some media worth snagging anytime if not got by other collectors, buyers or resellers any. was cool to see any blu ray but no combos i real want. i do think they going from a buck to 1.25 really slowed seekers but oh well crap changes. and now it close to same as 99 cent store which the store i went to had no media by chance as if sold or got none for any reason. but oh well got something by chance.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Media seems increasingly less popular at Dollar Tree these days. I almost never see anyone checking them out anymore and the waves of indie junk DVDs seemingly sit on the shelf untouched for months before presumably Dollar Tree throws them out.

I have noticed the CDs drew a little more interest when they finally appeared around here.

I've noticed a similar trend, though DT locations don't help the cause with the way they are displayed. I've seen at least a half dozen stores with a large quantity of titles on hand and they aren't always easy to find if you were looking for them. And if you find them and glance through them, odds can be high you will knock some on the floor. They're often on an endcap shelf with the spines sticking out, but 1-2 additional rows behind the ones you can see. The last time I browsed some, I had to move a few times as I had people with carts coming by who couldn't get around me otherwise. Granted, I don't know the best solution. Most stores simply lack the space to do anything different.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

That's more or less my experience visiting different Dollar Trees. A handful of stores will open up the boxes and place them neatly in a rack near the front of the store, but that is the exception more than the rule these days. Most are dumped on a random end cap and virtually impossible to browse unless you start pulling the shipping boxes off the shelf for easier searching.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I go to one who recent added a metel rack like u see some collectors show on youtube anytime so it helps alot and then opened boxes any bottom shelf u just pull out and make space u know u not block traffic any. i just glad traffic not like swarm when i check cause not many know i guess but the cds do get sold by chance cause any no wants or left behind. so far saw 1 cd almost got but it got sold before i had chance to go back cause wasnt sure so now i got a cell i can check stuff at time. but in process of moving gotta really limit what snag anytime so not filling bags like before since cost a bit more then a buck now lol
