The trilogy set has regular Blu-ray discs. The individual releases are flipper (BD/DVD) discs.

I noticed that today.

A far cry from the night before at a different store where a very nerdy blue shirt declined the override and refused to call the manager. Then he proclaimed that he himself was the manager which I later found out was a lie. We told him that on the previous day the manager, whom we named, had done the override cheerfully and without issue. The nerd said: "Well it's not going to happen now" and turned his back on me and walked away. I called him a huge effing nerd and left that store for the last time. I can understand him not doing the override and I have no sense of entitlement but for him to be so emphatically discourteous while I was being polite, there's no excuse for it.

Its the sheer unwillingness to see logic that gets me at Best Buy - this is a store that won't honor its OWN policies thanks to each Blue t-shirt crowning himself King.

I picked up some movies yesterday and the cashier gave me back my coupons also, are they reusable? I just assumed they were one time use only

The coupons are identical, and they don't scan your receipt to use them. So ethics aside, they're most definitely re-usable.

They're supposed to collect the recycling receipt and coupon.

I never got coupons. Just a receipt with the amount of DVDs I traded in.

After getting coupons once, my store is back to doing the whole transaction in one fell swoop. I just hand them the DVDs, they scan the bar code off a coupon (multiple times if I trade in more than one), and then ring up the total minus discounts. The only receipt I get is the regular one; I don't think I've ever been given a recycling receipt there.

My store is re-using the coupons. The ones I got today had 100 staple holes in each one. I traded in two Game of Thrones samplers, and 3 Sideshow Collectibles DVD's showcasing their products that don't even have UPC's on them. Gotta love it!

My BBY's are still giving individual coupons. I don't think a whole lot of people in the Memphis area know much about the deal. Every time I've gone there's been stacks of coupons and the DVDs I want (on sale) are always there. Hoping this last week has some good sales! Might go ahead and pick up Silence Of The Lambs. Maybe Up In The Air too (although the coupon won't be valid for use).

So true. That "box of chocolates" line being applicable to the BB employees, as posted earlier in this thread, was right on the money.

I've been lucky enough to not have a bad experience at BBY. Those smart ass employees would make me rage up in that place.

My cashier gave me my coupons/receipt back, too. If there was really anything else I wanted this week I would be tempted to re-use them, but I think I've managed to get everything I wanted thus far.

My going has been very smooth as well. The only time I had an issue was the very first time I did this, which was during the January promo. I was there on the first day of the sale and had to show them their newspaper ad and explain the conditions of the promo to the clueless CSR who was checking me out.

The CSR's at my BB ask whether or not you will be using all of your trade-in credits that day, or whether you will be saving some. I've always used all my the same day, so I only get one coupon which is then stapled to the receipt.

I'm guessing that if I say I'm going to save some for another day, I would get one coupon per DVD traded-in.

Yeah, I'm having trouble finding things to buy as well. I may get another 3D title of two (Polar Express, Gullivers Travels are two I'm considering). I wish Final Destination 5 and Chicken Little were 19.99...

There's a good 10 titles on BB.com that I want, but at this point it is likely too late to order to receive at home, and do a Return-Rebuy w/coupon in-store...
I just bought Meet the Robinsons 3D, bringing me up to 23 titles, way down from 41 in the last sale...

I've also had no problems this time. I have been going each Sunday morning right before noon, and I seem to get the same CSR each time, and she knows what's going on.

I did have one slight problem a couple of weeks ago. I traded in my DVD copy of Dragon Tattoo (which is made to look like it's a pirated/burned disc). The CS girl thought it was a fake disc and went to talk to her manager. Fortunately he knew that was the way the disc was made and it had the copyright logo on it. I had forgotten the disc was even like that. No other issues besides that though.

My local BB didn't receive any copies of the new Total Recall release.

Looked online this morning and only one store within 100 miles was actually showing any in stock(which I assume that means 3 or more copies). Stopped by my local BBY and they only had one in stock and I found it in the regular BD section with no shelf tags.

IIRC, Borat's disc looks even worse... I had problems trading that in at Suncoast once...

I remember opening that up and doing a double-take on release day. I seriously thought I'd been scammed for about the first five seconds after opening that DVD. LOL

I was at a Best Buy this morning. They had four copies of the old version marked $7.99. The computer said they had one of the new edition but no one could find it. The computer and the sales tag said the sale was over 8/4/12 so (if they have any in stock) we can get it starting Sunday for $4.99 with the trade.
