Post your deals and finds below!

$5 Upgrade & Save Coupon:

Bring in your original DVD (no burned copies accepted) with the original case to Customer Service and receive a $5-off coupon valid on any Blu-ray movie, TV or music priced $9.99 and up. See a Customer Specialist or visit BestBuy.com/upgradeandsave for more details about the Upgrade & Save promotion. Limit 5 coupons per trip. A recycling receipt must accompany the coupon at time of redemption. Once you have received your coupon, if you do not find a Blu-ray, TV or music, you are unable to get your turned-in DVD back. Not valid with any other discount or package. Limit one coupon per each Blu-ray purchase. Markdown taken from original price. Your original DVD must have been commercially packed and with the original case. Adult content DVDs not accepted. Not valid with any other offer. Valid on in-stock Blu-ray movies, TV or music only. No cash value. Offer valid 7/15/12 - 8/11/12.
FYI, the mobile phone upgrade check portion of the promotion ended on 7/21. For reference only:

Also, you can get a $5 coupon toward any Blu-ray movie, TV or music $9.99 and up when you check for upgrade eligibility on your mobile phone with a Mobile Phone Specialist. See a Mobile Phone Specialist for upgrade check. You do not need to be eligible for a phone upgrade in order to receive $5 coupon. Markdowns taken from original or promotional price. Limit one upgrade check/coupon per person. Not valid with any other discount or package or on No-Contract phones. Valid only on in-stock Blu-ray movies, TV or music available in store. Frequently asked questions:

Q. What kind of DVD's can I trade in for a coupon?
A. Any commercial DVD (excluding porn) with the original DVD disc and original artwork/case (with UPC code) can be traded in for a coupon. Though the promotion is technically for trading in DVD's, most people have been successful in being allowed to trade in HD DVD's and even Blu-rays.

Q. Do I have to use the coupon on the same title as the DVD that I traded in?
A. No! You can use the coupon for ANY Blu-ray title $9.99 or over, including music and TV Blu-rays.

Q. Can I use the coupon on Blu-ray titles that are on sale?
A. Although the terms of the promotion say "Markdown taken from original price", this has never actually been enforced by the Best Buy point of sale system. You should be able to use this coupon on any Blu-ray title, and the $5 discount will come off of the price that rings up at the register (sale or not). In fact, in the weekly ad circulars, Best Buy always shows examples of using the $5 coupon on sale titles (including that week's new releases).

Q. Do I have to use the upgrade coupon immediately?
A. No, if you can't find anything you want right now, you can simply hold onto it and use your coupon later. The coupon is good until 8/11/12.

Q. Can I combine it with a manufacturer's coupon?
A. Yes, you should be able to, as you have one Best Buy coupon and one manufacturer's coupon, and the manufacturer's coupon is considered a cash tender. Just make sure you give the Upgrade coupon (and any Reward Zone certificates) to the cashier first, and the manufacturer's coupon last, as this is the order in which the BB Point of Sale system has to process them.

Beavis and Butthead Volume 4 is $9.99 right now. I checked the tag at the store but it didn't have an end date for that price, hope it stays.

If your store gives you one coupon for each trade-in, I'd slip it into the stack and redeem it... They'll probably just scan the top one multiple times...

It's YMMV, per the actual promotion NO they should not take them since they are not DVD's. But lots of people have had success trading them in.

Any idea if the non-steelbook versions of the Nolan Batman movies will also be $9.99?

Also, for those who've done it, do you just buy any cheap DVDs at the dollar store and trade those in?

Yeah, I've seen many people here who do that. If it's a retail purchased DVD with a barcode it's fair game.

I know a lot of people know this already, but the Dollar Tree stores usually have cheap DVDs. I got a slim line DVD yesterday for .25. I am hoping that Best Buy will take these without a problem. Thanks and I look forward to all the deals starting next week.

It refers to the title above ( Get The Gringo), not the title below (The Three Stooges).

I can confirm that this deal works with both HD-DVDs and Dollar Store pan & scan titles. Also, some of the best deals are often just on the first week only, so if you see a good ( especially a $5) deal, grab it that first week. I waited on Gladiator last time and missed out.

Wish I didn't buy MI4 at release. Never thought it would go this cheap so fast.

Ok, I've followed these Upgrade and Save threads previously, but have never participated. The $4.99 deals listed above have me interested. I doubt I can get to a BB before the middle of the week. Is there wisdom in ordering the titles I want for in-store pick-up to "reserve" them so they'll be in stock? Or would that not work since technically I'd be purchasing them ahead of time for $9.99 and the store would give me a problem with applying the coupon. Thanks in advance for helping an Upgrade & Save Rookie.

How many copies of MI4 do we think each BB store will have next week, and how many people from here, SD and CAG will be headed over there to get it using the U&S offer next week? We're talking OOS fast and big time. That's assuming everyone doesn't buy them all this week and then try return/rebuys with the coupon next week.

In this case, the only way to do this is to return the bb.com order and then rebuy. It's a YMMV on if they will let you. There may be a problem too if there are no other ones in stock and the quantity must be updated into their system, which can take a couple of hours. I think you'd be safer going this week to your local BB and then PM'ing and applying the coupon next week. But if you can't you might as well try the online option.

There were about 25 copies at my store just this morning, and that's taking into account the possibility that not all copies were out on the floor. But I'm definitely making sure and buying this on Sunday for sure and not waiting later in the week to get just in case.

is MI4 a good blind buy?, is it the best in the franchise?, I was never a fan of the franchise and MI3 is one of those well done film but ultimately forgettable (for me). Guess I'll still scoop it up for 5 bucks though. I'm also eyeing Stand By Me, Hook, Gremlins 2 and Fort Apache (for $10).
