FYI, from what I understand, those double feature Scream Factory sets have zero extras.

You can check inventory with BrickSeek. it does seem to be in most store if Brickseek is accurate.

'Scream Queen Double Feature' of 'The Fog / The Howling'

From the WM BR bargains thread. I used Brickseek to find a copy here. Saved hassle as one store had a few and the other showed to have none.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I got an e-mail from Best Buy today, for a $10 Certificate When You Spend $25+.

It was titled
❸... ❷... ❶... Oh boy, earn a bonus $10 reward!
I've been mostly avoiding using my membership this year. As I've been paying with gift cards in-store then they don't give points anyway, and I was hoping that they'd "miss" me enough to send something like this. Obviously it worked. Good luck to everyone else.

Probably because it's not going to be released in the U.S. in 3D. AmazonUK and Zavvi both list it. AmazonUK indicates it's region B, while Zavvi doesn't say anything. Many times AmazonUK has listed Disney titles as region B even though they've all been region free. I think Universal is another that tends to release region free.

Don't know how Warners is about region coding. Has anyone here imported any Warner 3D titles?

Ready Player One 3D is listed at 19.99 British Pound Sterling (sorry... don't know how to get a BPS symbol to show instead of a $ sign) for pre-order. Even with currency exchange rates and shipping, that's often comes out to prices better than in the U.S. for me.

Shout's "Drag Me To Hell" set has dropped to 13.99. There's a replacement program for the second disc (the "Unrated" version isn' t really the "Unrated" version), which I received 3 days after I placed my online request.

Note: Maybe it was a one-day thing, -It's back up to 22.99

I also read they also drop the 5.1 Audio Tracks and only have the 2.0 Audio Tracks.

That sucks.

I don't care if they make stuff featureless but that's taking it a bit far. What's next, drop the color?

It was never a 5.1 track to begin with - the surround sound was a remix. The original was a mono track and so the DTS HD 2.0 should be closer to it. Personally, am never a fan of fancy remixes. The same with 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' - leave the original sound be, just clean it up

Exactly. I get annoyed when the foreign language tracks are mono or stereo and the English track is an "updated" 5.1 with a horrible mix.

Thanks to this forum, pre-ordered at 19.99£ ($27.xx) at amazon.co.uk with shipping.
3D makes this blu ray more acceptable since I loved the book, but the movie ignored a certain amount of what made the story interesting to me.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Probably YMMV, but I just noticed I received an email on 6/21 to get a $10 reward cert for spending $25 or more online or instore.
Subj: ❸... ❷... ❶... Oh boy, earn a bonus $10 reward!
Buy between 6/21 - 7/22

Also, if anyone is interested the Pacific Rim: Uprising 4k/3D is back in stock.

Did anyone else get offers for their Best Buy Visa Card, like 'activate this offer, spend $750 outside of Best Buy with your Best Buy Visa Card [by a certain date] and get a $25 reward certificate'? I got like 3 or 4 offers like that over the past few months, always activated them and I'm pretty sure I met the requirements but never got any reward certificates out of it.

Yes. There have been a couple times I've had to call the support line to let them know I had not received the points or certificate. They credited me the points in those circumstances.

The important thing is to keep the original email for the offer and to make sure your activate the offer immediately upon receiving. Then when you call you can reference dates of receipt and date of activation

The last 2 have worked flawless and I received the certificates. In fact I saw the certificates in my account prior to receiving the email notification of the certificates.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Word is starting to leak out on other forums that some Best Buys are effectively getting rid of media. Some locations will continue with a decently stocked movie section, while other locations will have nothing but the new item displays usually found near the front entrance.

It's a sad day to see the end coming for media at retail.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

It almost seems like they want us to do instore pickup, because a lot of sale stuff is OOS online shipping.
Then usually, for me anyway, no stores around me have it available for in-store pickup for what I want either.
So instead of making a sale online, I get nothing.

Online-only probably means a larger average sale because of the free shipping threshold.

Not for me. No in-store pickup = no sale - except during the run up to Christmas when it's free shipping on any order. Outside that period I wait for an Amazon PM if the local store doesn't have a title for pickup. If Amazon doesn't PM then I just don't make the purchase.
