Yes. The details are in the OP and Best Buy has ran this promo three times before although the last time, there was a list of approved Blu-rays. That must not have brought in a lot of traffic so they look to have lifted that restriction.

Nice to have confirmation of the upgrade and save. May make an attempt at it this time since it's not a restricted list of movies you can buy with the coupon.

Think we will have any luck getting them to price match their website and then use the $5 coupons on top of that?

Why wouldn't they? I plan to PM Moneyball from Target and then use the $5 off the combo.

There's nothing that states you can no longer PM if you use a coupon. I mean, when I've come in with Disney coupons they've price-matched, so I'm confident this won't be an issue. Can't see why it would be.

You'll have to find a very lenient CSR to get this to work, as it won't work in the system. Once they scan the coupon it will override the price match and take the $5 off their price.

Nothing that states...? How about "Markdown from regular price."

Yeah, you'll get the $5 off their sale price, but that will be it.

I brought this to the attention of the General Manager of my store. You do know that, for example, the regular price next Tuesday for the Moneyball combo is $29.99?

$24.99 is their SALE price and yet they are subtracting the coupon from that price, which is the case with all the other examples in the ad.

The GM was extremely perplexed by the ad and the wording and said he'd have to call corporate, but believed the "Markdown from regular price" wording must have been a mistake.

He told me all sales in the ad would be honored no matter what, but he also told me he wouldn't have an answer until Sunday as to exactly how the sale will go. Which includes whether or not we will be able to PM and get the discount as well.

He thanked me for bringing this to their attention, but told me he expected that, because he and his associates typically assume the wording "markdown from regular price to mean not the sale price" that there could definitely be a lot of problems and he also expects, regardless of the final answer, for their to be a lot of confusion with regard to price matching. He told me they consider that a discount, but that most customers don't think of it that way and will wonder why they can't PM and use the coupon, if that ends up being the case.

I think I might pull the trigger (finally) on BREAKING BAD. I was always a fan of Bryan Cranston on SEINFELD when he played Dr. Tim Whatley and I have the "Anti-Dentite" tee from 80stees.com! The first two seasons for $20 sounds good to see what all the fuss is about...

In case you didn't notice, those 9.99 Breaking Bad sets are DVDs, not Blu-ray.

Re: Best Buy Ad January 8 - 14, 2012

The price match won't work...so that was confirmed and my bad.

Therefore, if you're interested in the combo of Moneyball, you should get the 3 disc combo from Wal-Mart and save your dvd for something else you want to buy with the coupon.

The 3 disc Wal-Mart combo has the slip, the extra disc, and it's only going to be $19.96.

BB has the 2-disc combo at $19.99 even with the coupon, so the better deal for this is clearly the one at Wal-Mart.

Quick dumb questions about Beauty and the Beast 3D Blu-Ray combo pack... was this considered a new release this week? I thought it already came out last October or November (since I bought it back then). Is this a different release of the 3D combo pack or is it the exact same combo pack and they are just making a big deal about it now because they decided to put it in the theaters? (I thought normally studios would put movies in the theater first rather than after already releasing it to consumers.)
