The guy has some serious issues with communications. People are already pissed and he really needs to shoot straight with his customers.

Maybe. I'll believe it when I've opened up a package and it's there. Not a moment before that. Even if I see a package on my doorstep, I will assume it contains pamphlets promoting his new business venture. Likewise, all of you will probably only believe it when I post up pictures of the proof!

I finally got the notice that PayPal was issuing refunds for everything. The thought of losing that much money had really stressed me out, so I'm just thankful it's over and the outcome was positive. Now I plan to forget about this guy and his "business" for good.

That's why I only ordered two items from this sale, I figured if I lost $20 it wouldn't be such a catastrophe.

I'm glad your ordeal is over, Joe, and allow me to channel my inner Ward Cleaver and say I hope you learned your lesson about ordering too much too soon from unproven sellers! Lecture over.

^ Thanks, dad.

I stated this earlier in the thread, but he had gotten one order to me in under three weeks just before the BU sale. He was a bit slow, but still very responsive to my e-mails. Between that and Blue Underground posting about the sale on Twitter, I had no reason to believe I wouldn't get my stuff in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely a lesson learned.

I checked the UPS tracking information, and three packages have been delivered. I won't know what's in them until I get home from work in about 3 hours to check what's in there, but I'm damn excited to find out!

I've just been told by a Paypal rep over the phone that Paypal will get $$ back to customer, if goods are not received, EVEN IF the seller closes his account or empties his account of funds. The seller's account will then go into the negative and Paypal will send the collection agency after him for the monies owed.

All right, here I am with a full report back to all of you. UPS didn't lie. I did in fact have 3 packages waiting on my doorstep for me, but as I sort of expected, I am not yet finished with dealing with this sale.

Of the 12 discs I ordered, I received 9. It should be noted that *all* of the discs I received were sent as Amazon gifts. The ones I am still missing are The 10th Victim, Salon Kitty and Vampyres. As I said before, there is still one tracking number I was given that shows it hasn't been sent out yet. So, I'm going to give things another week or so now that I've received most of my order before inquiring further about the missing items. I suppose there's a good chance the three remaining discs will be in that package that hasn't been sent yet, though I worry about the "REFUNDED" that was on my invoice next to two of the titles.

And because I promised proof, here you go:

No we didn't. Most people haven't gotten anything, refunds or orders.

I got an e-mail that lied about me being fully refunded when I haven't received a cent. That's something.

Finally got my money refunded after only 6 weeks of waiting, 5 emails and a phone call to a direct number that my credit card company provided. This was NOT the number that was supplied on the receipt, rather a direct personal line to the account holder. Minutes after leaving a message at that number, I received an email saying my money would be refunded, and the next day it was. Pretty damn lame that he didn't respond to any of my previous inquiries until I actually called his direct number.

clckworang, nice to see that Night Train Murders is shipping. I can't see myself ordering from this guy again, but I'll keep my pre-orders up - Murders, Strip Nude, and Thou Shalt Not Kill.

I've had a couple emails near the beginning of last month that my stuff was going to be out if it wasn't already and that I'd get tracking numbers within a day.

It may come as a shock to some but I believe he may have lied about something.

The fact he is using Amazon more and more tells me he might have burnt whatever bridge he had with his "distributor" - also the poll at the blu-ray forum is depressing.

I just received my full refund from PayPal today. I'm sure PayPal will be shutting this guy down soon. What a total freak to even think up this scam and go for it. What was he thinking? Just on the most basic, minimalist moral level, I won't deal with this guy even he advertises a 10-cent sale. There's no excuse ever to take people's money and not communicate.

Got an E mail today from him about a Code Red sale, claiming that it looks like all their titles are about to go OOP. It isn't much of a sale and I wouldn't order again from him anyway, but I am concerned about these titles going OOP. I have to get CUTTHROATS 9 before it skyrockets in price.

Everything he's selling seems to be selling for less at amazon.

Yep. B&N too where I ventured with my OOP panic today and ordered CUTTHROATS 9/JOSHUA double feature for $13 and change.

Our old friend Demetrios at HME has it ON SALE for $16.99 with a shipping date even Sherlock Holmes couldn't deduce.

I received that email last night as well. It didn't mention a Code Red sale. It was just about Code Red titles going OOP.

I need to do this tomorrow, especially if he's only responded to e-mails up to 1/24.

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

PayPal reviewed my dispute and decided in my favor. They recovered my $80 and I should see that on the credit card my PayPal account is attached in a couple of weeks.

I'm glad to have this resolved. I can't imagine ordering from this guy ever again.
