Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
Everyone,
I stumbled upon a $5 Kung Fu Coupon via the KFP2 FaceBook site. It looks like you have to "like" them to unlock.
See here.

Enjoy.

Wonder if Best Buy will honor it for the 3D blu ray (it isn't listed under the coupon as one of the options, of course I'll only be showing them the coupon).

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
I just realized there are 2 different coupons. The last one posted is specifially for the 3D version at BB, while the other one is a manufacturer's coupon which just mentions DVD or BD (but not 3D). That shouldn't matter since a 3D BD is still a BD, but there are a few coupon nazis (fortunately fairly rare at Target but more common at BB) who won't accept a coupon unless every word and picture matches 100% as they read it hoping and praying for an excuse to say no. I printed via coupons.com, but I assume that the Facebook link takes you to the same coupon.
Now if this were a Target instead of BB $5 off coupon, we could use both coupons for $10 off, but Target won't take a BB coupon, and I already know with 90% certainty (10% in case of a miracle) what will happen at my BB store when I try to get the 3D version: "sorry, we can't allow stacking or double dipping on coupons... you can use one or the other but not both". That's assuming they don't reject the manufacturer's coupon at BB with the "it doesn't mention 3D anywhere on here". I also know that some people will post having success using both coupons at their BB. The other worry is how long will it take BB and Target to sell out of all 10 copies and plushes they have for the week? OK, I'm exagerrating a bit. I'm hoping it's better than 10 per store but Target has a tendency to understock dramatically, and BB understocks a bit. With the free plush, BB is the place to try first.

Target won't have the 3D version of the movie -- it's a Best Buy exclusive.

Was able to use both cpns and get the free Po beanie for $19.49 today.
Cashier seemed reluntant to use the Best Buy coupon with it being on sale, but tried anyway. Went through no problems. Asked if I could use the other coupon and she called over a manager who was nearby and he said yes.

The coupon also works for the KFP 1 and 2 set at Target. The set is BD only though and does not have slip covers for both.

Manzana, I picture you looking much like the "Charlie Brown" character Pig-Pen, but with a dark cloud of shit-negitvity instead of dirt and dust.

I agree with Manzana: BB usually does go out of their way to deny coupons whenever possible.
That said, I was able to stack both for $10 off the 3D version, but the second one scanned a discount of $0.00, so the cashier tried to bluff a "one per" denial, whereby I politely asked for a manual over-ride, which led to many key strokes, and eventually a call to a fellow cashier, who came over and adroitly got it to work. Never mind the line growing behind me to epic proportions with much grumbling, and a sweaty BuckNaked2k the object of much derision.
....oh, and I didn't notice any Po plushes, but WTH.

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
Thank you for this idea. I had no idea about the Po plush and wouldn't have tried to give both coupons. When I read your post, I decided to go there at lunch time. The clerk had no problem first scanning the BB coupon and then manually entering $5 off on the register. Really, they should take both because one is a Best Buy coupon and one is a manufacturer's coupon. Either way, ended up with the 3D Blu Ray set and a Po plush for my Panda-loving daughter for a total of $19.85 including tax. Sweet deal!

1) if only one couon went through, I would rather it be the Best Buy cpn since it would save me a little more in tax
2) the Best Buy coupon terms said "not to be combined with other coupons/offers"(or something to that extent). So I wanted to get that one out of the way.
The cashier said she did not think the Best Buy coupon would work. She said she would try it and sure enough it did. The manager had to come over and tell her how to key in the manu. coupon.
My daughter loved the Po beanie. She has been carrying it around all day.

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
I don't want to say too much good about BB to shock anyone, but since November they've been having some pretty good sales lately, so my opinion of them is improving. I think this is a one time thing, though, as their stock just got hit because of lower margins and I read an article saying corporate decided to cut prices to attract business, but I think it's a short term strategy.
Surprisingly, the 10% probability happened and this cashier (a young kid with hair hanging in his face) took both coupons, so I got the 3D KFP2 + Poh plush for about $20 including tax. Well, I didn't pay tax because I actually used a RZ certificate (unfortunately it was a big amount) so I threw in a game I wanted so I just made the RZ certificate amount + $5 (so there was something for the $5 mfg coupon to deduct from).
I felt pretty good about the deal until when I got to work and checked SD I saw the game I just bought was on sale online for $3 less. Being a BB.com outlet item I knew the chance of them PM'ing it if I went back to the store tonight was slim. Since I was tired and it was raining, I decided to eat the $3. So I did $5 better than I expected on KFP2 but lost $3 on the game. Net = +$2. I suppose I could rebuy the game online, return the other one, and hope my RZ points go back to my account (sometimes they don't and I have to call), but $3 is sort of borderline for me... probably not worth the time and effort. It usually has to exceed $5 before I consider it. Most people probably have higher thresholds.
The other bummer was that a bunch of other good games went on sale this morning at BB.com (outlet) and most of them were OOS by the time I got out of my stupid meeting at work. I love work. I love it SOOOO much. :-)

I saw the ad and saw there price listing with the coupon amount taken off like they have done in the past, and which Target has price matched and then taken the coupon off of that, but got sad when I saw it was BB exclusive. This double coupon will hopefully work for me.

I think every non-Disney, non-Superhero theatrical 3D Blu Ray released in the past six months has been a Best Buy exclusive (at least initially). Don't know why they feel they have to corner the market on them.

Both coupons worked for me. Used the $5 coupons, $10 reward cert and a leftover store credit I had .. cost me nothing. Got the Po stuffed animal as well.
Thanks for the deal.

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
Also successfully used both coupons in-store and got the Panda Beanie baby.
My cashier didn't want to honor it, saying that 2 coupons couldn't be applied. I mentioned that one is a store coupon and the other a manufacturer coupon.
Another cashier told him it was fine. The process is that they are supposed to scan the Best Buy coupon first, then manually enter the manufacturer coupon as such.

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
Is there a similar coupon for Kung Fu Panda on Blu-ray 3D (the first movie)? Best Buy's shelf tag says "On Sale! $29.99," but it doesn't show the regular price underneath the sale price like their legitimate sale tags do. I bought it, and the receipt confirmed that $29.99 is not really a sale price because it didn't have a * next to the price like their real sale prices do. Hate paying full price for this.

Re: Kung Fu Panda 2 $5 Coupon
No problem using 2 coupons, the cashier knew what he was doing, he rang BB coupon 1st, manually entered 2nd got the beanie panda, he wished me happy holidays - done
Btw - in the store I asked one BB guy where would I find the beanie panda - he confidently told me they sold out on them. I go check the the display case - there were like 10 + in the lower shelf, go figure.
