One bad thing about dd is... they are slooooooow.

I'm feeling the holiday spirit this morning, so I gave DD another chance and placed a order.

The last few orders I've made with them have been very reasonable. I wouldn't call it quick because I just used their free shipping option and I've become accustomed to Amazon Prime, but all took less than a week. That's pretty good in my book. I take that back. One was out of stock, but within a few days, I got my shipping notification.

Placed an order with DD last Friday 11/18 (free shipping), they sent it Priority Mail and it arrived today 11/23 (Wednesday).

Placed an order really late on the 22nd for 24 S7&8. Tried to cancel them about noon on the 23rd and got rejected since they are already in process. They really need a better way to cancel an order than put in a request and wait for a response. I might end up with 2 copies unless Foxconnect cancels my order. If I do, I will probably mail these back.

Just placed an order for some anime dvds in the deal. really nice sale on those.

Picked up The League season 1 & 2 plus Mirrors II Blu-ray for really cheap.

Picked up 24 Seasons 7 & 8. Thanks.

I went ahead and called them and they cancelled the order within 2 minutes. Seems like Foxconnect may ship so I really did not want to have to deal with the return process.

I also placed another anime order. Can't beat those prices.

Yep, I don't really order too much from them anymore, but their free shipping has vastly improved over the past year or so.

Congrats to DD , I got my order a few days earlier then the scheduled delivery date.

I placed an order for Mirrors 2 the day this deal went live. Received a confirmation email later that day; item was in stock. Fast forward to today and no shipping notice yet. Called them up and sure enough, it's on backorder with no expected arrival date. *Sigh*

I got my order 2 days ago. I am surprised how fast,with my past with them. Seems now Amazon has taken over as slow pokes. 2 orders from last week on IN STOCK items -Dec 12-24. (both orders not from their lame black sale)

Would you believe I am still waiting on blu-rays from this sale??? I got two seperate shipping notices on 12/5/2011. It wasn't until late January when the dust had settled from work and other online orders that I'd realized I hadn't gotten anything...and the tracking numbers provided by DDD didn't even have an origination scan.

So I get new shipping notices on 2/6/2012. I check last week, and those tracking numbers provided by DDD don't show anything either! Now they're requesting an alternate delivery address...which is fine with me, but my address doesn't appear to be the problem - getting the discs out of their warehouse and into the hands of the USPS seems to be the problem!

Oh...and several discs from the Synapse sale never got to me either - no scans on the original tracking numbers, or for the re-shipment they supposedly processed.

But I did get my order from DVD Planet from a couple weeks ago...

Doesn't surprise me. Right now I'm at 13 orders with them for this month. I don't hear anything so I shoot them an email and they say they don't have 10 of those orders in their system. I got order confirmations for all but 3. After I send them the info, they say they don't have any of those movies in stock and they can't get them anymore. Out of the 3 I got, on 2 I got everything I ordered. On one I got 1 out of 27.

77 DVDs ordered, all showing in-stock when I order. I get 10 of them with some of the ones they say they can't get anymore still showing in-stock on their site. To compensate me for the issues I had, they signed me up for their newsletter.

I'll gladly pay an extra dollar or two to order from somewhere else, since most places aren't this broken.
