Here are some links to various useful sites for tracking Amazon prices. Some of these have been suggested by numerous people over the last four threads. I list the earliest post of which I became aware. The ones I find most useful:
That link lists all recent price drops in order. The variant I prefer is this one: New Lowest Prices.
These variants may be useful: Amazon list sorted by price
Amazon list sorted by size of discount

Another site, mentioned by several here, which is useful for checking price history is camelcamelcamel. A Google search will come up with a number of other sites that also specialize in tracking Amazon prices. An advantage of camelcamelcamel, and other such sites, is that you can look up the price history for things other than DVDs/BDs, for example, a Blu-ray Disc player, CD, book, and so forth.

That should be enough resources to get people started.


Newcomers, please don't be reticent about posting good Amazon deals that you happen across. Better a deal gets posted twice than not at all.

Haven't seen it posted this may not be 100% the best place for it but you can get the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu Ray set if you order the Lord of the Rings War to the North game for PS3 or 360. Equals out to $95 for the two...I'm tempted on this...

Yeh, it is in my cart and I am tempted as well.

You can sell the game on eBay and clear around $36-$37 after fees so it would be like getting the LOTR BR Extended set for right under $60


.....but you just know this set will be $45 +/- $5 during BF.

Oh yeh, you can also get around $15 if you sell the digital copies bringing the total out the door cost of the set to $45 or so.

I wish Paramount would bring more classics to blu and it looks like they did a good job with this one.

I was tempted on the Doctor Who Series Six parts 1 and 2, which are cheap, but I know the complete set will have SOOO much bonus stuff, that I just can't justify it. I just hope Amazon lowers the price on the complete set soon...

I feel the same way, only I'm not as keen on the bonus features as much as having all the episodes and special in a single case. :/
