Damn ... I mistimed when the start of this would be by an hour and missed it Joined the waitlist and it said my chances are "good". I'm not sure how that'll work out. Though like you, I have so many DVDs I've bought but never watched (including the DVD version of this). Maybe the best savings of all will be the $22.49 I save by not buying it all (along with whatever else I throw in to meet the "supersaver shipping" limit)

It is not just "Green Lantern: Emerald Knights" on sale... it looks like all the DC animated outside the Batman: Year One is also 9.99 or lower.

Where is that price located? It's still showing up $21 for me.

EDIT: Oh, you meant that was the one exception I guess. Darn, it's the one I need.

I guess I'm not alone. Bunches of unopened DVDs, and now I'm replacing "some" with Blu-rays.

I placed my order for Seven Samurai (that was a fast sale) and put my 3-disc DVD version (still in shrink wrap) up on eBay. If it doesn't sell there, Amazon is indicating they'll pay $10 for it...

Sold my unopened SEVEN SAMURAI Criterion DVD set for $27 on Amazon Marketplace when I upgraded to the Blu-ray last year. Got the Blu-ray during the B & N sale for $17.50.

I bit on the Muppet set, and now I am questioning my choice. Is that the lowest it's been?

I wanted to bite, but I was thinking that it should have gone down to 40 with 10 bucks a season and 5 bucks for the movies. I want it, but I'm not thrilled at paying 50 for it.

I'm right with you on this one. $40 I would have jumped on. I might have gone for the $50 if I hadn't already bought WAY too many movies this past week! Plus I'm still going back and forth on Tron and Sweeney Todd tonight and maybe It's a Wonderful Life tomorrow.

Speaking of which, I may have missed it, but did everyone notice more stuff was added to the calendar for the rest of the week?

I already dipped into this as I got the 2 disc and then just got the 3 disc on Black Friday. If it's just the trading card on the Blu-Ray I can pass on this.

There is no right or wrong and your opinion is the only one that counts. You simply need to ask yourself ... will I enjoy the film more if in high-def?

re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

I'm tempted by the Muppet set, but I think I'm going to continue to hold off until Disney's smart enough to release the 4th and 5th seasons... at least it looks like most of the episodes I'm looking for were released in the 25th anniversary "best of" DVDs (mostly the Roger Moore one).

Hopefully the success of the new movie will cause this (and the release of the remaining movies on Blu-ray) to happen.
