So I contacted Amazon about the Inception/Transformers lightning deal mess from this morning and they gave me a $5 GC. Kudos to Amazon.

My wife placed an order for two books this afternoon, and the order does not appear in our order history at all. I think this may have been during the period when the site was going haywire. Will have to see if the CC was charged or not, but I doubt it.

I was going to order Scarface steelbook after finding another item today, and now Amazon raised the price. I hate not having Prime.

I same thing happened to me, but I was like 398 on the waitlist. It actually came thru though, it popped up about 20 minutes later and gave me 3 minutes to check out. I got one.

Not for me, I bought more movies on Amazon this year then I have in the past. For me, a lot of the movies I wanted went on sale earlier in the week rather then waiting for a lightning deal on Friday or Saturday, so I ended up with everything I wanted as well as a game.

I'm definitely happy.

For Movies, Amazon sales were good, but probably close to their pricing formula last year as well. But the B&Ms are now so much more aggressive in pricing, finally catching up with Amazon, that it does not seem as great as we were used to. I visited Best Buy and Target today and was really surprised at the pricing for a lot of their dvds/blus. They were really priced to sell, and if you're a big fan, it is a great couple of days for picking up your favorites.

For other items, I would say Amazon is doing great with their lightning deals, given that stock of popular items can be sold out in just a few minutes. I myself have purchase a lot of electronic items and video games at Amazon this week, and a lot less movies this time around.

GoHastings is having a "14.99 or less" sale on tv shows Friday and Saturday only. I did a quick search and TaaHM were 9.99 each(plus shipping). May place an order for the one season of Six Feet Under I did not find at Wal-mart yesterday.

Put season 4 & 5 in the cart. In the end it would be more then Amazon at $12.99. I remember right its their shipping (this would be the same with anywhere) that is why I do not buy from them.

7.49? Surprisingly crap price. Very disappointing.

I expected $3.99. Not 50 cents cheaper than what Best Buy was selling it for over the past few months.

Just find some people to split it with. You can have up to 5 "family members," so when all is said and done, it's pretty damn cheap for a year's worth of prime.

Is that version of Stargate a good one? I know there are a couple different versions out there (or at least there were at one time).

I have to purchase a CD as a gift later today in a Lightning Deal, and while I have Prime, I would prefer to combine it.
