Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Regarding Pacific Rim 3D and Gravity 3D - can someone post what is inside ( since the slip cover is missing it is hard to tell)

1. Are the 3D and 2D on separate disc
2. Is it 3D + BD = DC or
3. 3D + BD + DVD + DC.

I already have BD+DVD+DC of both movies with slip cover and pacific Rim with Lenticular cover. I only paid $5 for those. Wondering if I should double dip just for 3D.

Thanks in advance

Pacific Rim - 3D + BD + BD Special Features + DVD + DC
Gravity - 3D + BD +DVD + DC

That's what I got, anyway.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

BOTH discs in my copy of that froze up in the middle! HD-DVD was such a fustercluck. I wouldn't gamble more than a buck on any HD-DVD now.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I had quite a few HD-DVDs get disc rot, mostly Warner. I hope that plays for you Larkin, and maybe you can rip it and convert it.

I found a copy of Polar Express 3D today.

They also had 300: Rise of an Empire 3D, but I already own it.

I picked up Gravity 3D for $5. I picked it up for my brother since he has a 3D TV.

Decided to make a stop by a store and found a single copy of this, which I bought.

Also purchased a single copy of La Femme Nikita on clearance for $1.25. Had passed many times previously, but went ahead with it being marked down.

Finally, the Wizard of Oz 3D/BD/DVD/book for $8, once more just a single copy. I'm assuming this is the same one which was reported earlier for $5. I bought this one despite not having a 3D setup. I didn't want to regret not buying it.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I also saw 1 copy of Slumdog Millionaire for $1.88 and bought it.

And 1 copy of the Wizard of Oz 3D/BD/DVD with book for $8, which is different than the previous version for $5 that I bought that didn't include a book.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I stopped by Big Lots today and couldn't find a Black Friday Blu-ray display. I was hoping to pick up a copy of Slumdog Millionaire, but couldn't find any. I ended up getting DVDs of Jesse Stone: Night Passage and Assassination of a High School President for $3 each and a 50 Pack of CD-Rs for $12.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Has anyone seen the $1.88 copies of Last Action Hero at their Big Lots?

I might check out the one closest to my place later today.

Picked up the WOZ 3D/BD/DVD with book and the 4 movie pack DVD of Tennessee Williams (Night of Iguana/Sweet Bird of Youth/The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone/Baby Doll) for $10 for both.

They are marked $8 each, but if you buy in pairs, they are 2 for $10.

Also saw marked at $8 each (2 for $10), various DVD seasons of Pretty Little Liars, Heros, Parenthood, The Closer, The Following, Vampire Diaries, House MD and many Warner/Turner 4 movie packs of the classics, Bogey, Stanwyck, Grant, etc.

All of the above have the same $8 price sticker code of 145 810327102 8 106 and will automatically ring up at $5 each if you buy in pairs. This is BL's 3 day Black Thurs/Fri/Saturday sale.

I got that WOZ box with book a couple years ago at Ross. Don't remember what I paid.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Only 1 of the 2 Big Lots in our area received the DVD/Blu rack. I asked and mentioned it was even in the ad and they said they must not have got it. The one who put it out, I missed getting WoOZ... .

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I went in this morning and saw, but did not purchase, 3D copies of The Wizard of Oz, Epic, and 300 (I don't own 3D equipment and don't like any of them enough to upgrade my DVD copies). I snagged a $1.88 copy of Slumdog Millionaire for no other reason than it seems to get talked about quite a bit. I put back some of the TNT 4 packs until I can make sure I don't already own copies of the included films (I hate the way some of these films are repackaged every year or two).

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Picked up the lone copies of WOZ 3D and Epic 3D at my local store. And then saw earlier posts in this thread for a 2 for $10 sale (2 of the $8 titles when purchased on a single transaction). Tons of TCM/Warner 4 DVD Catalog titles in the store as well, which I shall combine on a return and rebuy this evening. What a deal ! Thanks for posting this

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

^Those $8 titles rang up 2/$14 when I went by tonight. I didn't question them as I thought the prices were good. I purchased 2 of the TCM/Warner 4 DVD titles.
