Is this just a coupon for your individual rewards account? Those coupons are issued by e-mail on Fridays, after you've made 3 qualifying purchases. Nice if you received one since I'm assuming it would stack with the F&F weekend.

has anyone found anything cool? I really got held up with work. Being on the west coast, I can still run down there, but only want to if there's new stock.

I got the Bourne Supremacy and found out it was a flipper! Blu-ray on one side and DVD on the other! Leave it up to Universal to give us a flipper in this day and age!!

I have never seen this unique and unfortunate combo before... Hope it is the last one....

Egads if this is the state of things to come!

That's a remnant of a pressing from 2010. They don't do that no more

I went to the local store tonight. Rack was full & the clerk said they were picked through. Guess I should have gone yesterday. Bought 1 dvd: You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger for $2.60

Went to a store while out of town with a $5 coupon in hand. Thought I had stumbled into a lucky streak when an employee started unloading a pair of boxes on to the media rack while I was browsing. One box was labeled $5 and had mostly DVDs, except for Turbo (with a toy included) on BD. There were another box at $10 which included BDs. Despicable Me was the only new one I noticed. Others were previously viewed--multiple copies of Avengers, Doctor Strange, Big Hero Six, BFG and the like.

Yeah, they're starting to dump excess Disney at $10 with 'previously viewed' stickers - most of these are new with no slip covers. I still see remnants of the previous dump from about 2 years ago (Tomorrowland, Alice in the Looking Glass, Star Wars - last Jedi) still priced at $10

$10 is a reach for many of those discs, which is why they hang around Big Lots forever. I see some to this day from the original batch.

haven't had this opportunity before - I have a rewards coupon ($5 off $15) expiring 7/15. Can it combine with the 20% off offer ? TIA

The fine print on the 20% off coupon reads "May not be used in combination with any other offer, coupon, discount or associate discounts, but may be combined with Rewards."
Not sure if that helps answer your question, or makes things more confusing. Looks like it's probably the latter. ;)

Actually, it does clear things up. Thanks for the response (why I didn't read the fine print irks me)

Do some Big Lots stores get more inventory than others? The one near me never seems to get new stock, not even Dvds!

Absolutely yes. I used to know a number of the local (within 50 miles or so) managers when I bought heavily from them for resale.

I'm not totally sure what the criteria is; one would think sales volume; but it takes inventory to increase sales.......

I'll speculate the locations closer to certain big media distribution warehouses (often close to Walmart's distribution chain) receive more media items. Most of Big Lots' DVD and CD inventory comes from wholesale auction bidding on lots the big distributors like dumping from their warehouses. Dollar Tree does much the same thing.

I can't figure out how my local store puts things on clearance. I just bought Hitman for $1.25. It was the only one of a few titles I don't already own which were marked down. There were probably 4-5 other copies of the same film still priced at $5.

Noticed that at a store last weekend. Hadn't been in one in ages, so spent some time finding $3 titles on the display, then a clerk asked me if I'd seen the bunch at the front of the store. Once I checked -- they were all just dumped in a shopping cart -- I found at least four of the discs already in my hands (at higher prices) marked down to $1.50.

the same titles come in as part of different batches (identified by different BL SKUs). For e.g 'Christmas in Connecticut' came in as part of a Christmas batch and soon on its heels as another batch. In the last week of December, the christmas batch went on clearance. The stores just identify a batch (thru the SKU) to put out on clearance and hence your observations. What I can't understand however is the same title sporting both a $3 and a $5 sticker in different parts of the same display. Am attibuting that to human tagging error.
