I'm holding out altogether. This will be $24.99 by Thanksgiving or Xmas, and even if it isn't I have to wonder if another version is coming out. Guess it depends on how much you really like the films. The transfers look darn nice, in any case.

Of course, another reason I'm holding out is saving up for an Oppo BDP-93.

Considering BTTF hasn't even been out a year (Oct. 26, 2010), that can't be true. I know it dropped quickly, as I remember posting on my facebook the price drops (hoping my mom would see them, since I asked her to get it for me for Christmas) and then finding out she had already purchased it and wasn't liking that I was posting much better deals for it . The $14.99 price, though, didn't come until sometime earlier this year. But it definitely wasn't a year after the release.

You are correct. BTTF was on sale rather quickly for black friday. Amazon had it as one of their lightning deals, and B&N also had it under $30 as well. Jurassic Park is a big name blu release, I can easily see this one going for the $25 range over Thanksgiving, and wouldn't be surprised at all to see it as one of Amazon's lightning deals.

Yeah, just checked and Amazon had BTTF for $24.99 on 11/29/10, just over a month after it came out.

The drop from $39.99 to $24.99 wasn't as surprising to me as when it went on sale for $9.99 (at BB I think, some number of months ago). I knew to wait until it went under $30, but I didn't expect it to go to $9.99.

When Mad Men S1-S3 BD went to $9.99 after I had paid $18 each at Fry's I think (like 35 days prior), when I recently saw S4 BD on sale for $18 or so I said... I'm not going to fall for that one again, but somehow I doubt S4 is going to be $9.99 this BF.

This price predicting is a tricky thing and I'm not that good at it. I can see the Jurassic Trilogy being $29.99 somewhere on BF, but beyond that I have no idea.

Fry's in Downers Grove, IL has the BD JP for $39.99 on shelf. Customer Service adjusted the price down to $34.99. They looked at their website and saw it for that price.

This was a noon today. There were about 10 copies on the shelf at that time.

Wait, so their site says $34.99 internally? It hasnt appeared on their site for the past couple of days. I was thinking about doing the same thing, but since that price was pulled, I didn't bother.

I stopped by the IL location around 6:30pm, and there were none left, and I got a rain check for the $39.99 price. I was surprised to see the higher price, and I had them check online and the set was not listed at all (DVD version was $36.99 I believe)

By the time i got to Fry's the site no longer had the bluray listed at $34.99 so i couldn't get them to adjust the price. I ended up picking up a copy anyway for the $40 price for my friend. Me personally i can wait till the price goes down.

So, BB was willing to PM Fry's on the Jurassic Park Trilogy without the ad, but my Fry's said it was $39.99 instead of $34.99. That extra $5 made the difference so I said I'll pass. Oh well. I guess in some areas Fry's has it for $34.99 (probably their fave area San Jose) and in other areas they don't like as much (like mine) they felt people should pay $5 more. I mentioned to BB that it was $34.99 on Frys.com, but I was told (this is where the great YMMV comes in at BB) that BB never matches online prices so it didn't matter what Frys.com said... only what the store said.

I thought about trying Sears, but they are so far apart I decided it was worthwhile and knowing them I'd be surprised if they even got 1 copy in stock, and I guess it's no longer $34.99 on Frys.com any more. So I'll be waiting on Jurassic. I'll survive.

Anyone else considering canceling their order because of the current status? 30 days? It will be Black Friday by then, I'll probably be able to pick it up for around $30 bucks at that point.
