Just saw that the price of Drive Angry 3D BD dropped to $11.99 on Amazon. Never seen this, but 3D BDs are never that cheap, so I ordered it. The 2D version dropped to $10.99.

Saw the price on blu-ray.com and decided to pick one up. That's cheap for a 2D BD and WAY cheap for a
3D one. Blind buy here, so I don't see it as a great loss if I don't like it. Seems like some silly fun.

Fry's has been discounting 3D movies in the past month or two down to $14.99 in their weekly ads; although I don't have 3D capability yet, I was tempted to get Piranha and Resident Evil Afterlife a couple weeks back.

Wish we had a Fry's around here!
I was able to get Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Piranha, Resident Evil and Monster House for those prices during the Deep Discount Blu-ray BOGO sale a few weeks back.

They're discontinuing them? I didn't know they were phasing them out, but the one here in Austin still keeps a fresh stock of a bunch of them. Only $14.99 ones are those documentaries and the Cirque du Soleil one which seem to always be that price. They constantly have them in stock.

I've been getting my 3d blu's from hastings everytime they run one of those 3 for 21 deals, I have 5 already from them for 7 each. That said I got this on release day for 15 from best buy and I really did like the movie.

Will the 3D play normal 2D or is it only the 3D version that will look blurry without the hardware? For a $1 more I'll get the 3D and wait until I have the hardware.

IIRC, the 3D Set has a 2D Blu-ray disc. So no, the 3D Disc won't play in 2D since they are providing you with a 2D Blu-ray disc.

A 3D BD won't play at all on a player that doesn't support 3D.

Ok so your saying this particular 3D movie comes with an additional 2D disc? Do all 3D blus do this as well? Thx bud

I rented this (2D) from redbox when it came out, and thought it was over the top/campy entertainment. Thanks OP for $11.99 I'll pick it up.


No, not all 3D blu-rays.

Sony usually packages the 3D blu-ray by itself, but they also will play in 2D (although I believe the 3D usually has fewer or no extra features).

It was pretty cheap to begin with to, I picked mine up on release date for only 16.99
If someone doesnt allready own the movie and enjoys really Campy and so BAD its good Nicholas Cage performances, then its definately worth this new low price.

I definitely enjoyed this movie. And Amber Heard is HOT, which is a bonus... Also, of all the 3D movies I've seen in the theater, this has some of the better 3D effects for a live action movie. It was shot in 3D, not a crappy conversion, and they did a pretty good job.

Amazon should use reviews that don't say everything is crap, over and over. I'm not talking about the reviewer submissions but the review Amazon is using for the film itself.

I plan on going 3D very soon, so I went ahead and did a blind buy of this one. The price is definitely right.
