If you have a smartphone you might be able to get the Ultimate Edition for 10.99 in store. Earlier tonight I looked at the weekly ad via the browser on my phone and I noticed they had the UCE version of Citizen Kane listed for 10.99. It has the UCE picture, SKU, and 59.99 price. Underneath that it says " Save an additional 49.00 when you purchase this item in store." It's not on their full site, just the mobile version.
I took my phone and went to the nearest BB and grabbed the last copy of the UCE and went to checkout. It rang up at 59.99. I then showed the employee the discount price via the ad on my phone. She wasn't sure what to do so she called someone for help. This person looked for the UCE discount ad on the full site but couldn't find it. She then called a manager over who took out this smartphone and found the ad on the mobile site. He then made the override and I walked out with the UCE for 10.99 plus tax.
This might be the reason ProfessorEcho was able to get them for that price.

It still shows the "Save additional $49.00 dollars..." on the Movies, Music, and Instruments page in the mobile weekly ad. If you click it to go to the product page it doesn't show. It's only on the page with the other sale items.

The full site loads on the iPad. It has to be the mobile site accessed via an iPhone or other smartphone.

The San Francisco/Geary store had the $10.99 sign, up, for the Blu-Ray of Citizen Kane (with an weekly expiration date of Saturday), but I went over the weekly Sunday print ad, but I didn't see Citizen-Kane or any digit-books Blu-Rays advertised. Prior posts mentioned the $10.99 price was advertised. Was it in this week's ad or an earlier one, such as post-thanksgiving?

The store got ten copies in, apparently, on Thursday, while other bay area stores had copies available since Sunday.

Harold, previous posts mentioned that the page with KANE was missing in the newspaper flyer. It is only online in their WEEKLY DEALS section. It's on PAGE 32. You don't need a Smartphone, just have them pull up that PAGE 32 and match the SKU number. It will give you the UCE and they should match the advertised price since the SKU numbers are the same.

That's interesting. I looked at the sign on the rack in store and it showed a different SKU. I assume it's the one for the exclusive version that's pictured in the ad. The SKU in the ad is definitely for the UCE.

I know, it's weird. I can't figure it out, but it's hard to fathom they INTENTIONALLY meant to sell the UCE for $10.99. I can only guess it's related to the same glitch that likewise priced the UCE of BEN HUR on Black Friday.

I only hope more DVD TALKERS from this forum can take advantage of it before the deal expires on Saturday.

The BB Exclusive digibook is $10.99 in store, and has been since BF....if you can find one. I assume the UCE at $10.99 is a mistake.

I envy all of you who are getting these. I tried; begged and cajoled at my BB for 30 minutes, and they would not give it to me.

I actually had a little fun at my Best Buy: picked up the UCE and walked over to the Service Department with the item on my iPhone. Asked the girl if she would honor the price, but naturally she had to call a supervisor over. Both she and the supervisor had fun with my iPhone flipping it up and scrolling through the pages.
Of course then the supervisor had to call over another supervisor, who was stunned at the savings. So of course he had to call over another supervisor (maybe at last the manager?) and we had four people scrolling through the pages on my iPhone.
Finally one of them whipped out his Android claiming that it was a fake web site, and when I walked him through the Best Buy ad on his phone, he finally gave in. And to top it off, he rounded off the savings up to $50 and I walked out with the UCE for $9.99.

I was able to get one but I had to show them how to find it on mobile. I don't think they found it buy they matched the price of the digi instead.

I doubt they will accept a photo. If you have any phone that has a web browser you should be able to bring up the mobile site.

You can try it without a phone. Tell them to compare the SKU listed on page 32 in the online ad with the one on the UCE. They are the same. The mobile site is better because, unlike the regular site's online ad, it shows the UCE picture and mentions the $49 savings. It's hard to deny that.

Got one. Took a lot of discussion among several Blue shirts. Tried to deny, as they couldn't find it on any of their sites, and the mobile site was down while I was in-store. All I had to show them was the "saved" offline page on my mobile device. Eventually agreed to deduct the $49 manually.

Bought this yesterday at regular price and was able to PM this with their online ad. I think it helped the SKU was on the receipt and it matched the BB online ad. Many thanks to jwstl for the added information.
