Holy balls. Well, it looks like I missed out on the fun. But yeah, I'm quite sure Overstock won't ship out one single order until they get this resolved. They can't possibly be that stupid, right after doing a system upgrade...

Yep, they had PS3 bundles for under $20 and one year XBL cards for under $30. I don't see any of these orders going through.

How much under $30 were they, while that is obviously a great deal I would not call that an error perse? I know last month I was able to snag one for only $35.

According to their twitter it was an internal pricing error and they don't know yet if they will be honoring it.

LOL - did a number of searches and virtually all blu-ray box sets are 'not found'.

A few years ago, Overstock cancelled orders on mispriced Mad Men S3 Blu-rays, but filled the orders anyway. Got it for free! So a cancellation may be a good thing

Love the guy on their facebook saying he's going to fight it. Armchair lawyer thinks he has a case when there isn't a court in the world who will even hear this case lol

not yet, but according to their twitter they are cancelling and I'm hearing people are getting 5 dollar coupons which is kind of low, but they don't really owe us anything imo. Mistakes happen.

Re: Star wars the complete trilogy blu-ray 20.99

Finally got my cancellation notice. It is irrational to be angry about this, and I'm not, but it won't persuade me to shop at Overstock.com again either.

Re: Star wars the complete trilogy blu-ray 20.99

I am not mad, although it would have been nice if in the email they said it was cancelled due to a pricing error, not because they didn't have enough information or it was out of stock like they said. This situation garnered something different than their usual generic cancellation email.

Here's the email I got:

We made a BIG mistake with our pricing on select items. Unfortunately, due to this error, we’ve had to cancel your order of a product placed on July 13, 2011. Our pricing is good... just not that good.

The pricing error has now been adjusted. If you have any questions, or would like to replace your order, please call us at 1-800-843-2446.

Please accept our sincere apology for our error and any inconvenience.

Apologetically,

Customer Care

corret, im a member over at CAG and many people there who bought the playstation move pack are already receiving their canceled order emails.

Might want to read this. Overstock admits to deceptive advertising.

Exactly the kind of pointless, frivolous lawsuits that bog down our courts/legal system. They should disbar lawyers like that... like a points system with driver's licenses - you get warnings but too many point and you're gone.

Re: Star wars the complete trilogy blu-ray 20.99

Pointless and frivolous lawsuits can be easily dismissed at the very start, so they don't do much bogging. The lawyer is just there to do a service and it's the client that is the one that wants to sue. The lawyer is just a tool for the client just as a mechanic is a way for a client to get their car fixed.

A person can have a complete pile of junk car that he wants fixed and the mechanic may know that it's a complete waste of money to do, which he may tell the person but if that's what the person wants him to do and he has the money he wants to spend doing the job, the mechanic will sigh and then get to work. Same deal with a lawyer. They'll tell you that something is anything but a sure thing but if you really want to give it a shot, pay up and he'll try. You never know what crazy ass judge you get, so there's always a chance things can go your way, no matter how tiny.
