Oh, okay! I think I understand it now.
This coupon in question didn't work for me because I used the 'Buy-Both get $10 off' offer from the True Grit '69 & 2010 for $22.99 at bestbuy.com thread.
The $5 off coupon (also) says:
'Not valid with any other coupons or offers.'
Oh well, I can always use it for something else.

Got shot down trying to purchase one of the Bond sets (didnt scan the coupon, just told me it was on sale). Ended up getting When It Was A Game instead. Will try again tomorrow with a new coupon.

Nice. I've been carrying a $15 BB gift card around that I couldn't think of anything I wanted from them worth driving there to use it. But now through the power of coupon amplification, BB here I come!

Well, here's what happened to me today. This will be very YMMV. Bought the following in one transaction:
Once Upon a Time in the West - $10.00 (PM to Target)
Platoon - $6.99 ($14.99 PM to Target - $5 coupon - $3 manufacturer's coupon)
Insomnia - $14.99
The manager came to do the price match overrides. She wouldn't let me use the $5 coupon on Platoon though, because it was on sale, but I was able to use it for Insomnia. However, Platoon had been rung up first in the transaction, so when the cashier approved the $5 coupon (when the register prompted for confirmation), it got applied to Platoon. And then they also accepted the $3 manufacturer's coupon. So, now I can just go return Insomnia, and then purchase it again later for $9.99.
I also picked up these for $9.99:

Red Dragon
I'll go back later to pick up these for $9.99:

Snatch
The Fountain
Ocean's 11 (2001)
