I just ordered The Hustler - 50th Anniversary; DigiBook (Blu-ray Disc) from DD and it came within a week and for $14.99 (after my $5 coupon) beat Amazons price.

I am pretty happy with this purchase, so they seem to have rebounded a bit.

With this sale I might buy some CDs.

This having to have the 25% logo kills the fun in shopping. I just quickly checked a few things I'd like and none of them had the logo. No point wasting my time looking any further.

There are plenty of titles that don't have the banner that are still coming up with the discount. You should add whatever you're interested in to your cart just to be safe. BTW, there are some good bargains. IP Man, IP Man 2 and The Man from Nowhere are all $9.14 each(the IP Man movies are not the Collector's Editions).

I was able to pre-order the standard version of Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen along with The Hustler for just over $20(I used a $5 off of $25 coupon that John Galt kindly gave me last week). If you have one of these coupons, they do stack with the 25% off sale.:)

I was going to pick up Happy Together and Sunshine and use my $5 off $25, but it says I had already used the coupon. Um, no. No I haven't. Anyway it wasn't worth the hassle as I found Sunshine elsewhere for cheaper than the average of what the two would have been after the $5 off so I just picked up Happy Together for 12.6X with the .99 shipping. Cheapest price I've seen it.

I understand your frustration. I usually make a call before driving over. My WM near my office did have several copies of Some like it hot the week after it's release date. But, anyone who spends anytime reading deals threads knows (as you've pointed out) that ALL walmart posts are YMMV attached to them. In this case, I think it's a fair chance local stores are carrying this title. I do know it's priced at $10 for those carrying it, that's not a local store sale price...it's there store price for all inventory of this title.

Well, heck. Thought I had found a deal ($2 cheaper than Amazon); instead I'm paying $2 more. :shrug:

I did find 9th Company for $9.14. It includes the DVD.

Might place another order for Man From Nowhere for that price along with Great Dictator or Hustler. I'll probably be able to get the Chaplin movie cheaper eventually from BN sale or at Amazon.
