Let me qualify this first... Dumbo is one of my least favorite Disney films... but a $40 SRP on a barely 60 minute film? What.the.fuck.ever.Disney. Dumbo is a $20 SRP catalog title at best, even with all the extra discs.

Probably has to do with the fact that you live in New York. There is some reason why they don't offer these to NY residents, but I forget why.

I don't get how anyone can complain about their MSRP. Disney repeatedly gives us some of the best deals on some of the most well-put together titles, and they've been doing so for years. I haven't paid more than $15, and I've paid as little as a couple bucks. Each time, I received a reference quality blu-ray and often I got a DVD and/or digital copy too.

I'm in for Dumbo, because this price will almost certainly drop to $20-$23 by release date and still include the coupon.

I placed a pre-order. My guess is that Amazon will drop the price to 50%, or 19.98 release week, thus making the total $11.99 with free shipping. I can always cancel if a Best Deny deal comes up better.

This...I'd never pay more than 20 bucks for a movie.

Already had the 3D Lion King pre-ordered with the $8 coupon from last month, but put in another order for the regular version with Dumbo to hedge my bets. I don't have a 3D TV (and doubt I will for some time) so if the 3D combo is more than $5 over the price of the standard version just before release, it's getting cancelled.

thats actually quite ignorant... as others have said, despite the perception of high MSRP... Disney has been the most generous studio when it comes to upgrades and coupons (with WB right there with them) those of us ordering today Dumbo by itself with the $8 coupon and Free Super Saver shipping will without a doubt get this title for between $12-$14 shipped. With that said, a $20 SRP catalog title retails for about that price...

My point was that it would be $20-$23 before the $8 coupon. Thus, it'd be $12-15 after it, well below your $20 threshold.

As usual, I went ahead and ordered them since it will be easy enough to cancel them if their cheaper elsewhere.

I'm in NYC...and I get the Lion King $8 off w/another title offer, but no $8 coupon for Dumbo...pass and will take the inevitable DMR coupon to whichever B&M has it lowest release week as usual.
