Voted for Trek, I only own the recent movie. I probably won't buy the set unless it's a crazy deal... and I already own all the Toy Story Blus.

Ya huh, the week before Christmas last year. Watchmen, Batman, and Alice in Wonderland Super add in box sets. The winner "Watchman" was $14.99 sold out in 2 seconds (really not making that one up). Then they put the others for $19.99. Pickup up Watchman, Batman (had time to go back a hour later, I still cannot get that batpod off the stand), got Alice from a person on this board (BTW thank you).

I can see them putting all 3 online with the winner as the deal/cheaper of the 3.

If it makes you feel any better at the time of my voting Star Trek was still up 44% to Toy story's 43%.

Re: Vote for June Amazon BD Deal

Just voted for the Star Trek Orignal Motion Picture Collection. It's still close, ST showed up at 44% and Toy Story at 43%.

I never finished buying the movies on DVD (in the collector's sets) -- I'd rather jump in and get the Blu-Ray releases now instead of finishing the DVD releases out.

Voting for Star Trek is a waste because you can already buy it for close to 50% off from 3rd party sellers. Thanks for nothing guys.

Voting for Toy Story is a waste because the packaging is crap, and there is no exclusive content over the individual releases, which if you'd kept up with release date coupons/deals, you would already have for a fraction of the cost.

If history is a clue, the Amazon deal will be considerably better than that.

What history? I've followed almost every Amazon deal for at least 7 years. The MSRP is $140. This won't be the first time 3rd party price is better than DOTD.

I'm not talking about DOTD and I'm not talking about everyday prices compared to Marketplace prices. I could go into more detail but as someone who has records of every deal Amazon has ever had for the last 7 years you shouldn't need me to explain anything to you.

Well what are you talking about? The vote is for DOTD. I never claimed to have records.

Toy Story takes the lead as of right now... but at only 1% difference.. this could change in a heartbeat

Re: Vote for June Amazon BD Deal

it seems one can vote multiple times. However, does anybody know whether they all will be counted or is only one vote per customer when logged in/IP address counted?

From Amazon.com Movies & TV
After a close tie between the Toy Story Trilogy and Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection, the decision has been made. Both titles will be featured during the High-Def Week in the Gold Box in June.

They make it sound like everyone wins, but they are probably going to cut the quantity of discounts available in half for each title... :P

Still a slight win at least, as at least we'll get a choice.

Unless its a LD or a GB then they will keep selling them all week long. This is something that does not come as a shocker. The BIG shocker will the the cost on how much it will be.

They said it will be in the Gold Box... So it will either be a LD or DoD... If the price is good, I'm expecting a LD...
