Has anyone figured out why things like this cost so much less in the UK? I know the packaging is slightly different, but $40 difference? I don't think so! --Peter

Thought it was a bargain when I got it shipped for around $40.

So did I..."What a great deal for just under $40!" (However, they did send me 2 copies because of the holidays shipping snafu) But a great deal non-the-less!

I still don't know why many UK sets, that work in the US, are much cheaper, especially when you consider they are shipped overseas. Even more impressive...that typically, my Amazon UK orders arrive within about a week. Walmart ship to store takes about 2 weeks, plus their service is the worst...

I used to have a link to a site that lists whether a blu-ray is region-free or region-locked. But I can't find it right now. Can anyone help me out? (I know Aliens is region-free but I may want to pick up some others along the way).

What's the difference between this set and the US set? Is there a difference in picture quality, etc?

I agree with you in regards to the packaging. The terrible fold-out style packaging used for the UK release is what held me back from purchasing it before at lower prices. The US release still looks superior to this new UK packaging, but given the huge price difference I could live with the version housing a multi-disc Blu-ray case inside of the box cover.

If my birthday wasn't coming up in a few days I would try to purchase this as soon as possible. I can wait a few days to see what happens first though.

I like the old foldout packaging for the cool case art.
