CH rarely catches multiple accounts per address. I read somewhere that some scammer had over 50 open accounts at the same time.

Got my enrollment package today! Includes The Patriot, Lost in Translation, Beautiful Mind, Deliverance, Space Cowboys & Once Upon a Time in America. Stardust should come when it gets back in stock.

Re: Columbia House adds BDs to enrollment selections
Blu-rays have lured me back in, but now I'm remembering why I left CH in the first place.
I pre-ordered The Green Hornet 3D two weeks ago. It hasn't shipped and is listed as backordered. WTF?

Re: Columbia House adds BDs to enrollment selections
Since it was released today, I bet they won't ship it until tomorrow. Probably showing backordered because they didn't have it in stock ( was a pre-order after all), and they haven't updated their catalog yet.
You could have ordered it through Amazon.com, saved a few bucks, and probably have it in hand today.
CH has always been bad about shipping stuff quickly, unless you pay the extra fee for it. I do have to admit they are a bit better today than they were 15 years ago, though. It used to take WEEKS to get stuff from them.

Keep in mind it is not actually shipped until you see Shipped **/**.
I had a title say shipped (that was 4/30) and then finally 3 days later had it say shipped 5/3. They ship by media mail and depending on where a shipping place is from you can probably take say 4-7 days.

My 2nd enrollment package shows it shipped on 5/3. However, I haven't received my first enrollment package yet, and that shipped on 4/23.

FWIW, they aren't really backordered unless they have "expected by" dates next to them. If several titles really are OOS all of them will be listed as "backordered" until all, or nearly all of the titles, are back in stock. Columbia House does this to try to send all of the enrollment titles in one box to save on packaging and shipping costs. I waited about two weeks for my enrollment package to ship because three titles were OOS when I placed my order. The "expected by" dates gradually dropped off the list until all were back in stock and the entire package of seven titles shipped.

Re: Columbia House adds BDs to enrollment selections
Trying to cancel my account and I call the number and this is no selection to cancel or anything. I went through the menu twice and nothing. What is the deal?

Cancel your account on the site. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. Select My Account from the Request Type drop down box. Then select Canceling Your Account from the next drop down box. In the Questions/Comments box, tell them that you have fulfilled your obligation and would now like to cancel your account. You should be officially canceled within 48 hours.

It seems to be very arbitrary. You can keep to the rules of 2 open but order the same titles repeatedly and get blocked from having new accounts. Myself, I got blocked at one address years ago when I was building up my DVD library (no more than 2 accounts open at one time, no dupe orders). I think I got about 350 titles from CH before getting cut off.
