Picked up the first movie. Although its image quality has been heavily criticized, it still looks better than the old non-anamorphic DVD. Worth $7.99. Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting! I totally forget the storyline and haven't seen the there-quel in years. And these are on BLU-RAY correct? I just want to make sure before I trek out to COSTCO...

Damn, I wish they were this price elsewhere.

I picked this up the other day (the first film only). I thought it was funny that the sticker (on top of the case) says "Scream 1"...as if that's the title.

I wish another store (without a required paid membership) were selling them at that price, besides Costco. I don't want to pay a annual fee to shop at a store to get a discount.

Technically I have not paid for a Costco membership in years. I have the executive membership which usually pays me a rebate of $200-300 a year, more than covering the yearly fee.

My girlfriend buys food on my Executive Membership which helps crank up the rebates from $55-$105 per year, plus the savings on gas alone pays for the membership. Figuring gas runs 5-20 cents a gallon cheaper, an average 15 gallon per week fill-up will save 75 cents to three dollars, so even a buck per fill would cover a basic membership alone, making the rebate Exec one merely $50 out of pocket which you'll also make back.
I picked up the first Scream over the weekend, too.

I picked up all 3!
What is this nonsense with some of you only picking up the original? Scream is a TRILOGY and should be treated as such (well at least until Friday). None of you would buy just Back to the Future 1 and 2, or just A New Hope and Empire, or just Fellowship and Two Towers.
All 3 movies are good and worth owning (especially for 8 bucks a pop). Your collections are going to look silly with just the first one sitting there.

That being said, if I could get them for $8 each I'd consider all 3.

Re: Scream 3 Blows
Also to note, with the exception of LOTR, all the films listed started off as stand alone projects, the "trilogy" aspect wasn't decided upon until the first film did massive box office, meaning that they all stand alone and don't require the follow ups to finish the story. I don't see a problem in only owning the first Scream, BTTF, or even Star Wars films. (Although Lucas did desire to do a Star Wars series from the start, it wasn't a sure thing and the story in ANH wasn't dependent on further adventures.) All these films have a proper 3 act structure and would be fine as stand alones if sequels were never produced.

It is a much better film than Return of the Jedi so your argument holds no weight.

Re: Scream 3 Blows
I just want to add that We hosted the world premiere for Scream 4 at work last night, and Its right up there with the first Scream. Well written, just the right touch of humor, some great nods to the original scream in certain scenes as well. And a great twist on the opening death scene. Cant wait to see it again once we open it friday.
my order of preference
Scream
SCREAM 4
Scream 3
Scream 2
