Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
I really love "Eternal Sunshine" and "Lost in Translation" but since I already have the DVD, I don't know if it's worth upgrading.
There are no new extras and the transfer is the old HD DVD. So I don't know if I should wait until possible anniversay edition or something in the future. Problem is that it could be very long time until new version comes out and there is no guarantee that they are going to remaster it.... can't decide

Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
Just ordered Children of Men, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation and Traffic for in-store pickup. I work right across the street from a Best Buy, so I don't mind paying tax if I'm going to be right there anyways. $40 plus tax for 4 of the best movies of the last decade is a great deal in my book. Thanks OP!

EDIT: Never mind. Shows "not available" on main page, but when added to cart and stores searched, it shows available at my local BB. In for Sunshine and Lost. Both have been in my Amazon cart for a few weeks.

I just know that IF they do remaster these, I will buy it again - and I'm just tired of double dipping these days. I'm willing to upgrade, just not more than once
Sorry for going off topic - I do know that chance of getting new edition is very slim and I will probably buy these (I was never good with holding out anyway - I just upgraded my "Planet Earth" last week )
I really got to save money these days and was just venting

Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
I have Lost in Translation and Eternal Sunshine on HD DVD (along with 100+ other titles) and with very few exceptions I don't plan on re-upgrading to Blu on them. I've never even watched these (discs, seen in theaters) and have a backlog of HUNDREDS of unwatched, blind-bought movies, so I'm sure these will be sufficient. Also, many catalog Blus were made from the same masters as the HD DVDs, like Blade Runner and 2001.

Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
All of the titles on the BestBuy.com link have been put on the display in-store, in Blu-ray form. Some of them will ring up at regular price, but a quick walk back to the display to show them that it's on the display and their own employees put it there was enough to get them to override the price for me. Was able to include "The Kids Are All Right" in my 2-for-$20 purchase yesterday. I wanted to buy that and "Greenberg," but my store was all out of the latter.

Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
Went today to pick up Taxi Driver and to take advantage of this deal.
I originally planned to pick up "Lost in..." and "Eternal Sunshine..." But I saw on the display a picture of blu-ray version of "Robin Hood" and "Get Him to the Greek." I checked online and these was not on sale, so I just took a chance. It didn't scan for the sale, and had to be override it. It took a while since cashier had to call the manager and we all had to walk to the display and check. But since it is pictured on the display, the manager reluctantly overrode it. Good deal since it's priced $24.99 each. But now that I bought it, I don't know if it's worth it. I haven't seen both of these movies and I heard only mediocre reviews. Is this worth owning? I'm such a sucker for bargain that I bought these instead of movies that I know I love(but I do have the DVD version to those) Anybody have opinion about these movies? (Robin Hood & Get Him to the Greek)

Re: 2 for $20 at Best Buy
I'm in agreement. I think I only bothered to buy 1 or 2 of the titles I had as HD-DVD as Blu but only because there was some kind of upgrade of some kind whether it be video/sound or extras. I would prefer to wait for them to release a newer and perhaps better remastered version of a movie before I bother rebuying something I own already on HD-DVD.

No poster or display at my local. Corporate must have sent out a memo instructing them to pull it on account of the titles priced incorrectly in their system.
