Quite a price on the Tron 5 disc. Wish my Amazon Prime Mom hadn't expired recently. That $49.99 price (with no tax or shipping) is looking very nice (even if I have to take the Super Saver Shipping).

Thanks for posting!

This looks like the place to beat if you want to pick up Tron and Tron: Legacy individually. $19.99 for both and an automatic $8 Off brings it to $31.98. Then, you can probably use the $5 Off Tron: Legacy Coupon, bringing your total to $26.98. Not a bad deal for both movies on Blu-ray. And I suspect we'll see a Tron coupon for $5 as well, which would even further lower the total.

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

If I'm reading that right, I could get Tron and Tron Legacy for $27 plus tax.

Tron: $19.99
Tron: Legacy: $19.99
-8.00 when you buy both
-5.00 for Tron Legacy
------------------------------
$26.98 + tax.

I might be down for that.

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

Like I said above, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see a $5 Coupon for the original Tron either, which would bring it to $21.98 plus tax.

that would be wicked. not only that use the Target $5 off any disney blu ray coupon as well on the Tron 4 discer (has to be on a $24.99 or above title so it won't work on the 2 disc)

Stupid question, but would the Ultimate Tron experience get the $8 and the $5 off?

Might be in for both Tron films and Love & Other Drugs.

Yeah that would be a pretty good deal. Especially if you have no use for the 3d Blu-ray which you can go sell on ebay or something

vmars 03-28-11 07:10 PM

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

And also, thats a pretty good price for The Chronicles of Narnia combo pack. Will be picking that up as well as some combination of Tron releases

I'm sure the $5 Off Coupon would work, but I doubt the $8 Off Promotion would. It might be worth a shot to ask them though.

I might try that. I don't really need the 3D Version, but since it would come out to the same price anyway, can't hurt to try.

Assuming there's going to be a Tron Coupon, it would look like this:

Tron: Classic for $19.99
Tron: Legacy for $24.99
-8.00 when you buy both
-5.00 for Tron: Legacy
-5.00 for Tron: Classic
-5.00 for Disney Blu-ray
------------------------------
$21.98 + tax

Target's pretty liberal with their coupons, and I think their policy is one store coupon per transaction and one manufacture coupon per item, so technically this should work.

I thought the Ultimate edition (w/ the Identity disc) was the one currently on Amazon for $68.99.

So if I use The Fighter coupon this week for $5 off, can I get a refund for difference next week since it's within 7 days?

I edited my post to reflect yours because I think you're right. I just assumed they were talking about the 5-Disc Set without the Identity Disc, but the packaging for that set doesn't say Ultimate Edition, whereas the Identity Disc set does. So looks like Target is slightly cheaper for the Ultimate Edition, even without the coupons or possible promotional discount.

Gonna have to do the Tron/Legacy deal. What extra does the 5 disc offer other then 3D which I have no desire to get?

The 3D is actually on the 4 disc one as well. The only thing the 5 disc adds is a Blu-ray copy of Tron.

good luck getting you "friendly" (yeah right) target employee to take all of those coupons, whenever i go in they look at me with that stare that says "you better be fu***** joking"

I actually wouldnt be surprised if they didnt still do a 10.00 upgrade coupon for the original tron. but we will see. for now I am keeping my amazon pre order.

My Target is great about accepting coupons. It's Best Buy that always gives me a hard time or refuses to accept them.

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

I may be just overlooking it, but I'm not seeing a "Tron: Legacy" coupon on that page ... Are you talking about just the generic $5/off any Disney title regularly priced $24.99 or more?

darkhawk 03-28-11 09:36 PM

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

Looks like I'll have to pass on the Disney Movie Rewards if Target is taking off $8.00 if you buy both. The DMC was $45 from both 2-disc sets, making it only $1.00 higher than Amazon, but with the 2 BD sets at $40 minus at least $18 or more, I'll get them from Target.

But even if they're referring to the $5 Off any Disney Title, there is still a high likelihood that Tron will get a $5 or $10 Off Coupon, since it's an upgrade, and Tron: Legacy will get a $5 Off Coupon, like Tangled did.

It's probably not live yet, seeing as how this ad is for next week.

It'll probably show up where the Target Coupon for Tangled is now on the front page.

Wow. Someone else has the same experience as I do with Target vs. BB. Usually when I post something negative about BB regarding coupons, some people act like I'm the only person who has ever had trouble using coupons at BB. Maybe you live in the same area I do.

So the only way to get the original TRON and TRON: LEGACY on BD is if you buy the 5-Pack? That is kind of a killjoy. I was hoping to somehow get them together rather than purchase them separately...

I don't understand ...

If you get the 5-Pack, you get the Tron and Legacy BD's together, plus both 3D and 2D versions of Legacy ... the only missing piece vs buying separately is the original Tron on DVD.

Based on the coupons coming about ... it is probably going to be cheaper to by them separately anyway.

Re: Target Ad 4/3-4/9

Here's the details of the Target $5 Off Coupon:

$5 off $24.99 or higher Disney Blu-ray

Target Coupon: Expires 4/23/11

Valid in store only. Limit one manufacturer and one Target coupon per item. Void if copied, scanned, transferred, purchased, sold or prohibited by law. Item(s) may not be available at all stores. Coupon value may not exceed value of item purchased. No cash value.
Per the coupon's details, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to use both the $5 Target Coupon, the $5 Tron: Legacy Coupon, and the potential $5 or $10 Tron Coupon.

In any event, even if you don't have a need for the 3D Version of Tron: Legacy, since it's priced $24.99 you might as well get it, use the $5 Target Coupon, which brings it to $19.99 (same as the 2-Disc), then use the $5 Tron: Legacy Coupon.

however , unlike Disney, Fox will have a sale on it later on down the line. especially since it bombed pretty bad this will be an easy $12.99 and under titles soon. Either new or used easily

Actually the movie had a little more than half the budget of the last one and made back a little more than $400 million compared to the $420 million of the last. But you're right, it will probably go on sale in a few weeks though the $19.99 price isn't that bad.

Could someone to be so kind as to post direct links to these coupons so that I can print them up for myself? I've never taken advantage of these Target or Disney coupons, so I might be missing something here. My apologies in advance if thats the case.

Look in the other threads in the blu-ray bargains forum, the $5 target one is there. And the disney one can be had on Disneymovierewards.com
