Picked up a couple of blu-rays from Deep Discount. I haven't ordered from them since the bogos they had a while back because like many I waited several months for them to deliver in full. However, the prices they were charging for a couple of titles enticed me too much.

Book of Eli I have not seen cheaper than $15 and DMC, every time I've seen it has been in the $25 range. They also have a lot of anime blu-ray on sale, so if you are willing to wait..might give it a try.

Let us know if Deep Discount comes through. I doubt they will, and you'll get a cancellation email in a few weeks. But, in case they do actually fulfill an order, I'd be interested to hear a success story for a change.

well, mine that I ordered last night already shipped.... they had some issues last year and have admitted it. seems like they've fixed some of the issues

Yeah, they seem to be back to normal. The last few orders I've placed have come in fairly quick. Is Book of Eli a good blind buy? I normally like his movies plus Mila is easy of the eyes.

At least these are not B1G1F titles where you'd be in danger of them shipping the full priced ones and canceling the free ones as they did to me. The biggest problem with DD is that it's very hard to cancel orders. I was never able to get through to them on the phone, they mostly ignored emails, and if you check past DD deals threads you'll find numerous people report that even after DD supposedly canceled their orders, weeks or months later DD ships them anyway. Then you have to go through the hassle of trying to contact them for a RMA to return it.

I'm not buying anything from DD any more unless they get their act together. I used to say until but I think unless is more appropriate.

I got a shipping notice today for both titles. Honestly, four days to ship the titles isn't bad. Especially with a weekend involved and one of them was listed as out of stock (DMC) when I ordered. So, hopefully in another week I'll be posting another email saying I got it. Looks like things are improving.

Welp, it was in my mailbox last night. And actually, the tracking says it went the next day after I ordered it (they just didn't send the notice until yesterday). So honestly...order to door 4 days...is awesome. WTG Deep Discount for once.
