Sony Style store Clearance rack

Haven't seen anyone mention this on here yet, but I went into the local Sony style store (Roosevelt Field Mall, Long Island, NY)and they had a pretty good Blu Ray Clearance Rack (9.97 a piece)

I picked up:
Princess and the Frog
Wall-E
Casino Royale

There were alot of other blu rays on the rack including Zombieland and Quantum of Solace, but I can't recall the rest of them.

Wow, great deals.

The closest Sony Style store (San Francisco) closed last year. Might have to check out the one in San Jose if I'm ever in that area.

Thanks!

Are the Sony Style stores just folding? The one in Austin quietly closed last year. I pass through the area every other weekend or so, and just out of the blue it was gone. No clearance sale or anything.

I didn't even know Sony Style had B&M stores. I've never seen one.

EDIT: This inspired me to go check their website, and I see we have one at the Somerset Collection in Troy, but I never go to that mall. Too far from my house and too upscale (read: expensive) for me.

I was at the Somerset store today and the pickings were pretty slim. Blu-rays were 50% off retail, but even after that they are still more exepnsive than Amazon for the most part. The only thing that is worth going there for would be Blu-ray 3D titles, which are also 50% off retail. I picked up a few ($15-$20 each after discount).

They also had a decent amount of PS3 titles for 50% off, but nothing all that newly released. I grabbed the last copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops for $30.

Is the store going out of business or was it just a sale? I would like some "cheaper" 3D movies.

Going out of business. I don't think it'll be much longer before they close the doors for good. Damn near everything was gone a few days ago.

Re: Sony Style store Clearance rack

The Sony Style store in midtown Manhattan has a bunch of Bu Rays for $9.97. The only one I saw that seemed like a good value was Rescue Me: Season 3.

They didn't have any of the ones in the OP. I was looking specifically for Wall-E.

Seems to be alot of those here.
Ive got a store relatively close to me, but it is the same deal as a previous poster. Its at the mall I hardly ever go to, that is a little more upscale than I care for.

I stopped in yesterday, and the pickings were even slimmer, but everything is 70% off and I managed to find some stuff I was interested in.

I honestly don't even know what I paid per title because they were marked down even lower when they rung me up than I thought they'd be, but i think the PS3 game was 8 dollars, which means the blu rays had to be less than 5 bucks each, but I got:

The Punisher (Blu Ray)
Cruel Intentions (Blu Ray)
Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes Del Ring (PS3)

And I paid 19.06 total, including tax.

Re: Sony Style store Clearance rack

I went back today. Everything that was left was 90% off.

I got Hellboy II, Wild Things, and Rescue Me Season 3 on BD for $1 each!

I also got 2 PS3 Move games (Start the Party and TV Superstars) for $4 each.

I also got the Sony 3D Starter Kit with the 3D Alice in Wonderland BD for $40 (Which I'm going to try and flip at a profit, as I don't have a 3D TV).

Re: Sony Style store Clearance rack

I stopped in a store that was closing last week. The clerk there told me Sony was closing eleven of the Sony Style stores nationwide.
PS - I grabbed the Caine/Law "Sleuth" for just under $5.

Re: Sony Style store Clearance rack

The store in Michigan I was at on Thursday was closed for good on Friday.

Also, the 3D Starter Kit that I bought for $40 sold for ~$220 the next day on Amazon. Score. I should've bought 4 or 5 of them.
