Doctor Who: Fifth Series $44.99 at Bn.com
Not a great price but still $20+ cheaper than elsewhere.
Plus there are still 15% or 20% off coupons that can be used.

That's funny, because during the recent BBC sale, this title wasn't included in the 50% off online! It was in-store though, so I did buy it already. Great price if you can use a coupon...

Sweet deal. Used a 15% off coupon (just google "bn.com coupons" to find 'em) Came out to like $41 after tax.

I used W3T8W7V for 15% off.
Just over $40 seems pretty solid considering the inflated MSRP on BBC titles. I've monitored the prices on the Torchwood BD sets as well - the cheapest they've dropped in the last couple years (at least on Amazon) was about $34.

Thanks OP! This was number 1 on my wish list. Been watching it everyday on Amazon but this is by far the lowest I've seen. Paid $41.39 after tax and a 15% off coupon.

I got all three seasons of Torchwood from a Marketplace seller at Amazon UK for $50 delivered. As far as I can tell, they were region-free (I have a hacked Oppo player, but the Torchwoods played fine, unlike some of the BFI discs that I have to manually change the region setting).

Not sure about their region... but beware those Torchwood discs if you can't play 1080i50.
Luckily, my Insignia player plays 1080i50 like a champ (which came in handy for the Top Gear BDs)

Paid $45 (+tax) for Dr. Who almost a month back with the BB 30% off coupon.
Normally I'd be a little annoyed I could have saved another $10 bucks waiting, but I already got a chance to burn through the set. Some of the most fun I've had all year in the HT, and I don't regret jumping on the earlier deal at all. I loved the first two seasons of the reboot, and this one is right up there as well now, if not sitting at the top of the heap.
Only thing is, my set seemed to have a lot of what looked to be compression related glitches. lots of macro blocking showing up- especially right up at the top edge of the image. It is more of the 'blink and you'll miss it' variety, but since it happened relatively frequently It did become distracting. I haven't seen one review mention this so I'm wondering if I somehow got a bum set? Doesn't seem like this would be possible as the flaws look to be baked into the disc image and not some physical defect affecting playback.
Anyone else experience this?

I also have the UK Torchwood BR discs, much cheaper. (As has been for Doctor Who sets in the past as well, but now that they've jumped to BR, it's cheaper to pick up the sets here)

I'd have to track down the thread, but I'm pretty sure it's been established that the Torchwood import played fine on PS3's.

Too late for me to use, but E4A4D3W gets you 25% off if you pay with MasterCard. Comes to around $35 after tax before any cashback.

Joe, you rock! I just got the BBS Story for $47 shipped (with B&N MC discount), plus I'll get 8% cashback. SWEET!!! It's a NON-member coupon, too, so I can use it again on my other accounts!

I was also under the impression that Torchwood was 1080i60 and was therefore PS3 compatible. I thought Series 5 of Doctor Who was the only Whoniverse Blu set to be in both i50 and i60 flavors (depending upon region)... please confirm, "faithful viewers. "
Oh, and I'm glad that I took advantage of the BB RZ 30% coupon glitch to get this set day 1 at roughly the same price!

Same price? It's considerably cheaper now at B&N if you use the coupon ($33.74+tax, and you'll save 8% more from cashback later). I bought it day 1 at BB with the coupon too, but returned it 45 days later when B&N had it for $34 during their BBC sale... It was $45.xx at BB with coupon. That's a $12 difference, not even counting the cashback!

Well, this is just great. Even though I had canceled my old order it still has shipped (along with my new order). Anyone know if I can return one of them in-store for the refund? If I can't, then I'd have to pay to send it back which negates the savings I got from the re-order, lol.
Edit: Nevermind, found my answer on their help page and yes, apparently I can...
