Just want to point out that some prices have changed in the buy 2, get $8 off deal. Some have gone up, some have gone down. If anyone is interested, Traffic is $9.99, The Jackal is $9.49, and Atonement is $10.99. So if two of those three interest you, you could snag both for around $12-13. Atonement is worth that by itself IMO. Excellent film.

Warning for those concerned (and not aware): Traffic is a two-sided disc.

For some reason this ain't working for me. Still doesn't show the $8 taken off (I chose Traffic and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). I also tried Traffic and Lost in Translation to no avail.

I don't like flippers, but for 5.50 a piece i can live with it.

Yeah, looks like the automated discount is broken. In fact, all the promotion verbiage is now missing when I click through, so any orders this point forward would have a hard sell if they are tracking when they removed it. However, Amazon CS is always superb so you never know.

I am going to mark this one as dead on the front page but leave for now until it completely disappears.

I'm taking a guess that this promo was supposed to end yesterday before they lowered the price of those 2 but someone dropped the ball and didn't take down the page. When people started mailing them about it they took it down.

Great that they honored it for you! They probably should have taken the page down sooner if they didn't intend those price drops to be part of the deal, but pleased to see their CS made good on it.

I agree, honestly though, if they had said no I wouldn't have pushed it, although I probably would not have bought them. 10 a piece for flippers is too much for me, but they have been good to me so I wouldn't have pushed it.

That Universal $8 promo still sort of works, but it is only taking $5 off for Backdraft and In Bruges for me.

Though I searched unsuccessfully yesterday (here, Google, SD, and Amazon) to find an expiration date for the $4 discount to buy various DVDs/BDs when using a VOD credit on those movies, it appears that as of today (Feb 1st) Amazon removed most of the titles from that list leaving only a handful of Disney ones, so in effect that deal is "mostly dead". In the previous 2 page list there was only 1 title left I was slightly interested in (Inside Man) but felt that even $6.99 was too high for a double dip on a DVD I already own. All of the other new releases I wanted I already got when they were $12.99 before coupon, and the rest I didn't want.

So I guess I won't be able to use that last $5 VOD credit (which expires in 2 months) toward anything with a $4 off coupon unless Amazon expands that list in the next 2 months.
