Agreed. I don't necessarily think it will be cheaper upon its initial release, but it certainly will drop within a few months. I don't need it right away since I watched it when it aired.

Be aware that link for Battle of Los Angeles is for the cheapy scyfy movie, not the movie currently in theaters.

I would sincerely hope we don't have idiots on here. Let them fuck it up for being fools.

ARGGHHH! This is one movie that I could not possibly own - even if it was free. Now don't get me wrong, the movie was well made and well acted. It's just that after watching it once, I was depressed for a month. I've never seen a more dark, and un-feelgood movie in my life - I could not imagine choosing to view it again.

That is worth pointing out, thank you. There was some discussion upthread of a studio putting out cheap knockoff movies, with titles similar to other movies, designed to confuse. I can't possibly sort through which ones are legitimate because, as I've said before, I've never heard of the VAST MAJORITY of the titles I post.

Also, there may be other editions of the titles that I list that may be better deals. I am just highlighting new low prices — in an easy-to-read format — at Amazon in case they might be of interest to someone here. Some are, most are not, but there is no way for me to know which are which.

Since I usually provide links to the titles, it ought to be fairly easy for readers here to check and see if the BD is the one they really want.

^Not to mention the fact that I got an email from Amazon today specifically pushing Battle of Los Angeles (It was the title mentioned in the subject line). Kind of a sneaky thing for Amazon to pull.

some of us aren't so emotionally shaken than others. I wish I got it. I had it in my cart....and I fucking forgot. Fucking loved it when I saw it in theaters.

Make sure you don't pick up The Mist next time it's on sale.

I agree. I couldn't even get through it. To make matters worse, in addition to the dark theme was the incessant whispering. I think I watched about 30 - 40 minutes and that was plenty.

Don't buy that version. Not that there's anything wrong with it (although it has been cheaper many times), but the DigiBook version is much better, with exclusive content and awesome packaging.

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

Exclusive content being only the addition of seeing the entire movie with the green screen option, and it being of course a digibook. Not sure that's enough to stay away from the cheap one - unless of course the buyer wants those two additional things.

Not interested in the digibook or the green screen option so bit when it hit $11-ish. Had been $13.99-$14.99 in my cart for a few weeks.

If you can wait, amazon usually has True Blood for $20-something during the holidays.

There's more than that. In addition to the extras already listed, 300: The Complete Experience also includes 3 PIP tracks with tons of additional info. And the digibook itself is 40 pages of photos and info.

I own them all (DVD (Helmet & Mask sets), Blu-Rays, Poster, Items from the movie). I have to say the set that the best one if you want all kinds of items has to be the one that was being sold at Costco last year for $13. I know its over the top but its kind of like watching a 3D movie at times. Without it being a 3D movie. Seen it 49 times (Yes 49 times).

Was it a Costco exclusive? If not, which is the one they sold for $13?
