I'd swear I've seen it lower on Amazon..but maybe I got confused w/ the DVD set.

Actually the lowest price for The Godfather - The Coppola Restoration Giftset was $41.99 on 12/2/2008 and it was around $45 several times up until about 6 months ago. Just set the range of time to "one year" or "all" in camelcamelcamel to see.

Those $7.49 BD titles appear to be what BB has for $5.99 in store or online. You'd think if Amazon were pricematching BB and including tax, they'd be closer to $6.49 rather than $7.49 which still gives BB the better deal. I already have several of them on BD and the ones I only have on DVD would have to be under $5 before I think about upgrading. Even at $5 I decided I can't afford to upgrade most of my DVDs to BD because there are too many. It's a case by case basis.

For those debating the Godfather Coppola Restoration Trilogy, if you can wait I suggest doing so. Waiting for <= $10 per movie in a set seems like a reasonable strategy for me, and even that price may be too high given the prices on things like the BTTF trilogy.

I got GF 1 & 2 from CH as enrollment titles, so now am just waiting for an eventual release of GF3... I want to average under $10 each as well...

You know, as I typed my post, I thought to myself "wait, was #3 released separately? Sure, it must have been!" DOH! That figures... I have amended my post.

You won't regret it. Despite the raves I was hesitant to watch until AMC re-ran the episodes from all three seasons earlier this year. Now I can't wait until season four starts in July.

You should have used the $5 coupon on both of those and they would have only been $9.99 each.

There are other threads on DVDTalk you know. ;)

Mentioned all over the forum and in a thread of it's own, BestBuy has a coupon, $5 off any DVD/BD $14.99 and above.

Eh. I wasn't going to create another fiasco for myself with the coupon. Looked like it was for in-store only and not online purchases.

Last time I reserved all 4 X-men movies a few weeks ago...they pulled the DVD Versions for me and were oblivious to what just happened. Needless to say I had to call customer service, get them re-ordered, shipping refunded, and shipped to my house. Picking up shit at the stores is becoming a joke now, as well as a waste of gas money.

So, the $14.99 price is on-line only?

I think it's region free. On amazon uk it's about $30.

Has anyone else gotten the combo pack of The Book of Eli when ordering the single disc edition from Amazon? If I knew others were getting the combo pack (not that I'd ever watch the DVD but it's nice to have just in case) and it wasn't just a fluke, I'd probably order from Amazon and return my single disc one to Target, plus I'd save a little tax.
