I got this:

The Thin Red Line Blu-Ray will be on sale later today (as an Amazon lightning deal). Could it possibly less than $20?

Re: The Thin Red Line Bluray Criterion Collection

Did we really need a separate thread for this? Especially since we don't know if it will actually be a bargain... This is already being discussed in the Amazons threads...

If you're in no rush, then b&n's sale is much lower. I got it for $11 something. Next sale is in May I think.

Except I really doubt they'll allow coupon use during the next sale, based on reception of coupons during this sale. It's still a great deal without the coupons, but I have a feeling the days of $11 criterions are over.

Re: The Thin Red Line Bluray Criterion Collection

you may have picked up the dvd for 11 but not the blu, unless you had special coupons others did not.

Best price you should have been able to get it for was 13xx and thats with B&N discount and $5 coupon.

Plus, isn't the sale off now anyway?

Re: The Thin Red Line Bluray Criterion Collection

I was going to mention that ($11/13) but didn't since it seems many people here find amazing deals that slip past me. :P But yeah the sale is over anyway so it's kind of a moot point.

Yeah, really. Just lazy there. I paid 30.00 for it at Best Buy pre BN Criterion sale. I usually am patient and wait for a good deal, but with that movie I just couldn't.

It's Cyber Tuesday. I think we can give 'em a little slack.

I used $5 off coupon together with 25% off coupon. Didn't know they allowed 2 coupons for 1 item and this was on the last day of the sale. Oh well, I got about 30 criterions on BD including some boxsets for an average of about $14 each.

For the most part, they actually use punctuation to assist in comprehension of the language, too.

Re: The Thin Red Line Bluray Criterion Collection

If it's cheap enough i'll probably bite. I already have the regular release(not in blu).. So it might be worth the upgrade to blu and criterion.

They usually don't. Many of us didn't get to use multiple coupons with multiple items; it was one coupon per transaction. Consider yourself extremely lucky.

Well, I got to know all 5 employees at the movies and music counter at my local store pretty good during the sale and they told me a memo from corporate encouraged them to take coupons. So, when I went there the last day I had brought 8 coupons (7 $5 off and 1 25% off purchase) and she said she'd ring up my 7 BD criterions and then try as many of the coupons as the system would allow. It took them all to my surprise Earlier in the sale I had used several of the $5 off coupons, but only on single items and on separate transactions.

Agree with passing on the price, but you won't find a better Blu-ray to watch.

Yeah, was curious when I saw this was a lightning deal as to a review of it and amazed to see how great the review was. Once I saw the price though, will wait.

Re: The Thin Red Line Bluray Criterion Collection

Thank you for posting this. I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for this post... you saved me 8 dollars and change.

Never mind the toughguys who are overly critical. You're heart was in the right place when you posted this so guys like me could take advantage of the sale.
