YAY100K is dead for me also. Saved me over $25 by dying.

Maybe it died at 9pm EDT or maybe there was a limit to how many people could use it... I only say that since I got my order in at 8:55pm EDT...

Damn. I saw John Galt's post which said 8pm PST, and I didn't realize he was corrected soon after. As soon as I saw his post, I rushed off to the site. Oh well. $27 saved. I'm better off, anyway!

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Sorry I missed out as well. I had two OOP Warner DVDs in my cart last night hoping a decent code would come along this week. Just checked and they are both out of stock. Of course, the $0.89 DVD I ordered last week using the JUNEBUG code ($1.88 shipped) is still available.

I remember them giving several days notice after reaching 50K followers before the start of their tepid "day of sales" earlier this year. I didn't even realize this promo would be occuring today. It's nice that the under $3 titles were included this time -- especially since one of their corporate guys posted on CAG (after it was flooded with complaints from the last FB "celebration") that Hasting would never sell an item for less than the cost of shipping. By my count, this was at least the third time since then that they've offered FS on the $0.89-$3 titles.

Hastings use to have routine good deals but these facebook contests and lightening promos aren't ideal.

Eh. I had hoped when I saw this sale it would have been more like the 3 for $21 they had a month or so ago, which included a lot of great titles. As it stands, this is hardly a sale if you have Blockbusters nearby. I couldn't pay more than $4 for the best of them.

Got my code. Can't say there's much I could find that wasn't already sold out or raised to a point of being a bad deal. Got:

Neverending Story BD for under $7
Lost Season 4 BD for under $13

Its kind of comical. The thing I was gonna buy with the 30 percent code, was raised by ten percent. I waited for the new code to get it for the same price with 40 percent code.

I have all used DVDs in my cart, which the 40% off coupon code is supposed to cover, yet some of them reflect the discount and some don't. Then later I go back in and they all have the discount, but when I add another used title it is not discounted. According to the details of the promotion, you can add up to 20 items and get 40% off. What's wrong with the site?

I picked up Hatchet 2 Blu Ray, Frozen Blu ray and House of Wax Blu ray, for about 20 bucks with shipping included. All three are upgrades for me.

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

So I placed an order Monday morning within 30 minutes of getting the 40% off code. Ordered 2 items. 1 shipped and arrived yesterday. Last night, the other item still showed in progress - usually ships within 48 hours. Decided to call today to see if there was a problem. Turns out it's now out of stock and if they can't find another copy within 7 days, they'll cancel it. Sure enough, I checked my order status online and it says OOS. While I'll be disappointed if it gets cancelled, I won't be too upset. My only 2 gripes are this:

1. Why did it take 4 days to determine it's OOS if orders usually ship within 2?

2. Why does the website currently still list the item in stock?

I know these are questions for customer service but I thought it would be funny to post.

It's likely in stock at another store. Their website is designed to reflect the in-stock inventory of all of their B&M stores. Obviously that's impossible, so you can see how they have to cancel parts of orders alot.

What??? As long as it is in stock at another store than it should not matter. It should then not be cancelled and shipped out to him then from another store.

Orders get shipped out from seperate stores all the time from Hastings so I'm confused by what you are trying to say.

I know what you mean. 2 of the 3 things i ordered have shipped. But it says the one thing I ordered was out of stock. But when I placed my ordered so it wasn't. a bit misleading to say you can buy and pay for this, but were not gonna send it to you, then cancel your order cause we can.

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

But on the other hand I picked up Forgetting Sarah Marshall with the 20% off thing on their website and only paid a little only 8 bucks hipped included.

And never mind about that rant, i checked my email and they just recently sent out my third item. How long does it usually take to arrive. If its shipped today or yesterday I should get it by Monday or Tuesday right?
