How are you guys pre-ordering for $64, just out of curiosity? Even after discounting the set by AAA 10% to about $64.11, the tax alone would drive the price back up to the seventies in most states. CA tax is nearly 10%.

I don't know about the other guys, but I'm in a tax-free state (don't hate).

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Not seeing the Blu-ray listing for BBS, did they take it down? At that price, it'd be foolish not to preorder.

this....

EDIT: oh wait...I did the AT&T bookstore and Library discount, went down to $64.11 BEFORE taxes...

Taxes + 2 discounts included=$69.40

This is about as cheap you'll fine.

Question: If I don't get the set THIS time...is still possible to get the same pricing for the next sale?

Of course. The most you would pay if there is another sale is $62.50 + tax. If you have a membership you could get it for less... probably $51.25 with $5 coupon. Even less if you stack a $5 off $50 or use a percent off coupon. I bet you'll be able to get it for under $50 pretty easily...

I'm willing to wait and see.

If there was a corporate memo it didn't make it to my local store. I just picked up my copy of Modern Times Blu-ray and used the $5 coupon successfully.

I've used four coupons in the last six days. Seems to work just fine so far. I'm hitting another on the way home tonight so see if I can make it a fifth.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Luckily got 1 of 2 copies in my area of Night of the Hunter blu-ray. Had to be at the store when it first opened. The clerk said the second he saw me, he knew what i was there for. Funny, seeing as how I had only purchased 1 other title from that store, and it was on the first day of the sale 2 weeks ago. Now, I just need Modern Times, and I'll be done.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Bought Night of the Hunter and Days of Heaven today. The cashier wouldn't let me use the $5 off of $50 coupon, but I had a 10% coupon with me as well, so I saved a couple of bucks at least. I'll wait and see if my store restocks Von Sternberg and Terminal Station before the end of the sale. If not, I'll order both online.

All 3 copies of MT and NotH are already reserved at my store. But, they should be getting more copies, including mine, tonight or tomorrow night.

Is NotH $39.99 in store, or more expensive?

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Picked up Modern Times this morning, but when I went to pick up Night of The Hunter, they didn't have my reserved copy. Turns out they got fewer than expected and are hoping for more to arrive this afternoon. Once I get that, all that's left is TTRL which looks like it should arrive this week.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Picked up Modern Times using the coupon. I plan to get a few more, maybe Mystery Train (which I forgot to put on my list a few pages back).
